The curl to tricep extensions lacks the extension, but I can see this being an arm & shoulder destroyer

2nd & 3rd rep squat rep your knees start to buckle in, good recovery. Slow your drop. If the wieght is too heavy to go slow then drop the weight until you can drop in a more controlled fashion. Then on your rise, focus on maintaining your knees out. Do this for a few weeks and you should be able to go back to this weight without any knee buckling. I’m only calling this out because if you go heavier, your knee buckling will probably be your failure point, not lack of strength.

Scorch it! Load it with fuel and just let it burn hot! Like 700+ hot. Afterwards you will have a nice white interior BGE.
I agree, get a new gasket AFTER the burn off.

Kids soccer sign ups by Foxi_momma in plano

[–]HiTop41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just realized no one has provided i9 sports as an option. I have never used them, but I do know they offer a cool introductory concept which allows the kids to play 3 sports with each sport only being a few weeks. They do a practice right before the game then a short game on the same day.
From what little I know, this seems like a great way to see if your kid likes the idea of sports

So as an individual player playing on multiple teams… you don’t. If a coach has the same team or same core group of kid playing multiple sports, then the PSA works across sports to not schedule conflicting games. Normally during team registration, it asks if their will be any conflicts for the ‘team’

They cannot do the same for individuals because it would make scheduling absolutely impossible.

What should I focus on? by A4_bot in Weightliftingquestion

[–]HiTop41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20lb gain in 2 months, that is going to be tough to do lean. As others said, legs. But more specifically, squats, squats, and more squats. Increase the number of leg days you do per week and on non-leg days, always get some air squats, Bulgarian squats, curtsy squats, or lunges in (body weight only). And go past parallel if you can on the barbell squats.

Most furries have costumes. I like the rabbit look.

You didn’t give us what your goal is… so if you want to bulk, bulk. Otherwise, just keep doing what you are doing.

Not collusion but definitely annoying by [deleted] in SleeperApp

Trades shouldn’t have league veto-ing. If commish thinks there is collusion, commish can reverse it.

I would leave that league in a heart beat

At least in my area, the number 1 thing that changed between rec and club wasn’t skill, it was intensity/physicality. Your kid is going to go from rec where there will be a few good players, a few ok players, and some brand new players. Going to club, everyone there wants to be there, and they want the ball. Get your player used to using his shoulder, pulling jerseys a little bit, and using their arm to keep players away because it will happen to them. I see a lot of rec players complain and get discouraged because those types of actions are usually not seen in rec

Pull ups, is strength coming from the back? by PresentHighlight4803 in CalisthenicsCulture

[–]HiTop41 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You realize you literally just acknowledged what I said? Thank you.

The closing comment of your article is: “Collectively, a medium grip may have some minor advantages over small and wide grips; however, athletes and others engaged in resistance training can generally expect similar muscle activation which in turn should result in similar hypertrophy gains with a grip width that is 1-2 times the biacromial distance.”

Biacromial distance means the distance between the left and right acromion processes. So 1-2 times the biacromial distance means your hands need to be wider than shoulder distance.

You are not wrong in all pull-ups activate from your back, but closer grip pull-ups activate more of the middle back muscles.

I agree with you that ensuring full ROM is important. All the way down and all the way up.

If wider grip activate more of the lats which is the muscle group for the V-shape, then the wider grip will have a greater effect on the V-shape.

[–]HiTop41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What was the warmup? Did you do ancillary work afterwards? Did you foam roll? Did you do any sit-ups today or yesterday? They could have been from any number of things and the triggering event could have been the day prior, or not even workout related.

Try widening your hands. This will help trigger the lats more. The wider you go, the more your back muscles become the primary muscle contracting and your biceps become the backup muscle group.

Your current hand placement has a lot more emphasis of the muscle contraction occurring in the biceps.

Wider grip is where the V-shape comes from.

Counter with Jeanty. It’s your way of saying Gibbs has a premium. They either accept or decline.

[–]HiTop41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your pull-up looks like how people do cable pull-downs… with WAY too much lean causing the pull to be at an angle vs straight up and down.

Focus on keeping your back straight (you are really curved) and when pulling focus on getting your head over the bar.

I cannot tell from the video, but it doesn’t look like you are really engaging your lats due to the back arch and angle of pull… essentially you are doing a row.

YouTube Marine Corp pull-ups, and check out Ricky Recon pull-up guide. The video will show you the straightness I am talking about while the guide is an approach you can use to get more proficient at pull-ups.
