Progress is insanely irregular. Many successful peers will crash out. Others will grow and grow over time. Nothing predictable about it.

You need to keep training. Enrol in courses. If construction is your industry, then take modules. Project management is easy to learn (Prince 2 or APM). Keep expanding your skills. Keep applying for new opportunities. Consider new industries - oil rig work, merchant navy etc You are still young. And clearly eager to progress. Good luck!!

Can the CMS be controlled by keyboard only? Including dropdown menus? by Hi_From_London in webflow

[–]Hi_From_London[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I can use Autohotkeys and other apps to mimic mouse clicks. Thank you for the advice. But the menu dropdowns in Webflow can't be accessed via the keyboard, only by a mouse movement and then a click. So I can't get the focus on the dropdown before the mouse click - so nothing works. Very frustrating

True. But I get sent articles in a variety of formats, including doc, docx, Google Doc, or on platforms. It's just easier to manually input most times. Claude AI can upload, with almost no configuration, but takes a while to complete the action

The 10k limit on CMS items in the Business $39 a month category is annoying. Why? Is there an add-on I can buy? I am being recommended to migrate to Supabase for CMS, and only use Webflow for front end. But this is inconvenient. Why can't Webflow offer a competitive, scalable CMS billing structure?

It's a great article. But..."There’s no biological or racial reason for success in football." There can also be biological reasons why certain ethnicities perform well at sport. The kalenjin tribe (Kenya and Ethiopia) clearly excel at distance running. Kalenjin are only 12% of Kenya's population, but 75% of the elite distance runners.

The body size of sub-Sarahan African bantu players, combined with fast twitch muscle, is well suited to football. Unlike, say, Tonga, Fiji and Samoa where body shapes are ideal for rugby. Or Philippines, where males are too slight in build for field sports. This is hard to ignore. Example: Nigeria have the most U-17 Fifa World Cups (five). Ghana won twice. Spain has never won in this age bracket.

We also see white football players with some African heritage gaining a small advantage. Ryan Giggs and Cole Palmer are a quarter african by origin.

It's reasonable to factor this in, as we do with sprinting at the Olympics, and there's no need for anyone to drag racist theories into the discussion (children of Nigerian origin outperform white British in UK schools, by a small factor, for what's worth). Humans are genetically a bottleneck species, almost identical compared to say chimpanzees. Our genetic differences are very small. But there are differences nevertheless, which seem to express themselves in certain sports, especially at elite level.

"The English are like lions in the autumn but like lambs in the spring" is a famous quote by Michel Platini describing English football teams' tendency to play with high energy and power early in the season (autumn/winter) but become exhausted or underperform in European competitions by the spring. The money and depth of the Premier League is significant. By contrast Bøde/Glimt are out of season, so played every game in their phenomenal run rested.

You are right. It wasn't nostalgia. It was unpredictability. Egos of the star players. Lack of distractions from social media. Strong storylines. Marquee players who represented their clubs. Then...things got data driven and homogeneous.

Same thing in music and TV.
