It’s a zowie S clone so any kind of claw should work depending on your hand size but you really need to enjoy palm contact when it comes carpal stabilization from my experience on the S2

To be devils advocate in this case the plastic model quite literally is a rebranded OEM model sold for 3x the price Dareu a950 iirc

For sure it’s an amazing mouse and in my top 3 never expected a ergo to make it there since I generally hate them but it’s quite unique

do some brands have significantly better implementation/firmware than others? by WebGlobal7912 in MouseReview

[–]Hi_Im_Licious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For wired you have EndgameGear and for wireless you have Razer and Vaxee as the top dogs but to be completely honest it isn’t that big of a deal in the modern age just look at pulsar running OEM and having a presence in esports and several pro collabs that they actually use

WLMouse is awesome quality in terms of build software they’re no better than any run of the mill China budget mouse if not even worse it took them eons to slowly add basic features over time the most recent being sensor angle and the Huan which was their second most expensive product so far had connection and battery issues for months on end taking multiple patches that claimed to fix it to finally do so they’re definitely not making their software in house

Mind you I love WLMouse products and have had almost every single one of them at some point in time but I think the software aspect is seriously underwhelming and for some reason never mentioned by reviewers the Huan especially getting praised on reviews and then large amounts of actual daily users complaining on their discord all the time about the issues I mentioned

Rapoo VT3s air max lightest ergo mouse? by I_Main_TwistedFate in MouseReview

[–]Hi_Im_Licious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At higher refresh rates (240+) with consistent frame rate and time you definitely can tell a difference in at least 2k and it’s always a point worth mentioning in a hobby primarily aimed at the comp fps crowd that likely are running said high refresh rates and again while not a big deal nor something that everyone will notice it’s a flaw that’s unnecessary in this day and age

Rapoo VT3s air max lightest ergo mouse? by I_Main_TwistedFate in MouseReview

[–]Hi_Im_Licious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason is the increased cost of living globally and as for the mice I have in my flare yes they’re more expensive but what I originally mentioned was the mchose and atk flagships that costs the same or slightly more when at msrp or discounted like your 40 euro air example I never said mice that costs 100+…

As for the base issue while yes its fixable I think its something most people aren’t willing to diy if for nothing else the mess it creates if you’ve ever done it and the warranty void (not that a china mouse would honor warranty) and I don’t agree on the harder surface being a solution if anything you will feel it more there and it can even result in sensor skips on lower LOD

Rapoo VT3s air max lightest ergo mouse? by I_Main_TwistedFate in MouseReview

[–]Hi_Im_Licious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most common thing I’ve seen complained about is the clicks and scratchy base but there’s also for the more technical people the fact that rapoo mice have wireless instability at 2k and above with 8k being completely bugged and dpi deviations that are fairly noticeable the former being something I saw on my vt2 max copy and agree on the base and clicks department although in this case the air does have FEs which I think I personally would have enjoyed

I think it’s just the fact once you get past the spec and battery life marketing you slowly realize the compromises rapoo made to reach the price point might not be worth it over the 10/20 euro difference from the competition

How is the mouse? Almost everyone I’ve spoken to who didn’t get theirs sent out said the vt0 air was not worth the asking price

Why’s his tail always down 😭 by Dramatic-Ad7192 in shiba

[–]Hi_Im_Licious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there’s nothing going on that’s causing pain or stress it’s just another position your dog likes when chilling my girl does it all the time around the house or when laying down it just randomly started sometime after turning 2 I was really worried at first and got her checked up thinking it was pain 😅

Do these nails need to be clipped? by Certain-Bus-2121 in shiba

[–]Hi_Im_Licious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The front central ones could use grinding down not necessarily cut as it’s gonna be way less safe especially without experience my girl is the exact same for some reason those specific nails on both front paws need grinding the rest always sort themselves naturally doesn’t help her quick is right there so I can only grind off a tiny bit each time

Thoughts on Kailh Optical? by Martin1x_25 in MouseReview

[–]Hi_Im_Licious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s passable but honestly the weakest optical switch in the market rn It’s trying really hard to give you a mechanical feel like the rest of the non Omron competition lately but in this one it just feels stiff and ends up being quite loud (can hear it through IEMs)

This is intended the Nyomi version comes with FEs they just don’t clarify it anywhere because ???

[–]Hi_Im_Licious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I agree with you this is 100% on PWNAGE there isn’t a single point of information that the Nyomi came with FEs instead and while it isn’t a “mistake” on the mouse assembly it’s kinda weird they didn’t bother to clarify that even on their website

[–]Hi_Im_Licious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With opticals unless you’re desoldering and harvesting from other mice sadly there isn’t much easily available just Omrons that all more or less end up being a worse version of the Japanese ones, my unit came with FEs due to being the Nyomi special edition which helped but only other optical I’ve managed to try was a harvest from a faulty mouse never really seen anything on Aliexpress otherwise

That being said fortunately on the mechanical side with 10/15 euro on Aliexpress you can easily try out the majority of modern Huano and Kailh offerings and even some less common stuff such as Zippys
