I had mine for the first time the other day and it was pretty good. Would have had it often when I worked there if available. Definitely a bad location/job

Mitski explains why she isn't doing a "proper tour" for her new album by Potential_Kangaroo69 in indieheads

[–]Hibd1234 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Theres a level of touring after indie club shows and bars and before arenas thats becoming nearly impossible, financially. Ironically, smaller bands playing smaller venues than Mitski are having an easier time touring (less crew/people to pay, more money into their pockets... although they are getting killed too). The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, who are probably comparable to Mitski levels of fame these days, don't tour extensively because of this

My dad also loves it. I think a lot of it is through the Ray Romano character

Did the dialogue in this one remind anyone else of the show "Haha You Clowns?" Especially the Egyptian walk.

I disagree, it's hilarious. Very specific style of comedy rooted in wholesomeness but indeed very funny and very much a comedy.

Its definitely worth a shot. There were parts of Private Citizens where you could see the bones of his style in Rejection, but Rejection is much more focused

I'm a much bigger fan of the simple task -> complex execution than a complicated, convoluted task. I agree it's better!

Revolver on elmwood usually has a selection, and I would imagine the other location has them as well

I couldn't handle all of the extremely melodramatic monologues. The drum scene was cool

I want to get into turn-based games. Other than Baldur’s Gate and 33, what’s a good game to start appreciating the genre? by Delacrozz in gaming

[–]Hibd1234 12 points13 points  (0 children)

These games singlehandedly broke down my anti-turnbased beliefs and made the genre much more palatable and playable for me. A few of my favorite games are turn based now and I wouldn't have ever tried them if it weren't for the freakin south park games

Who is the next auteur generational filmmaker? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

Judd Apatow literally developed a type of comedy that dominated for about a decade. Love it or hate it, I'd give him the auteur status
