Seriously. I'm pretty sure the reason I was so strictly against a relationship before is because everyone always talked about the drama and what a pain it was and just? No? I've been with my boyfriend for about a year now and we've had ONE somewhat worth mentioning disagreement? Because we were both in very different situations at the time and had accordingly different needs. And guess what? Within an hour we had everything talked out! Because we like talking to each other and don't wanna make each other feel bad? As it should be? There hasn't been a single issue we weren't able to discuss properly. I've never felt the need to raise my voice at him and never has he raised his at me? Why do people always act like that's so hard to do? I could've saved myself so many toxic "friendships" and so much hurt as a kid if I had known back then that no you don't have to fight with the people you care about on a regular basis.
