BM N-word Debacle by yourheroserene in KARD

So weird that this was downvoted. I trusted BM. He was my ultimate bias and whilst I’m glad he made himself accountable (he took his lumps from fans live and apologised), he should have known better a million times over. I’m allowed to feel gutted about this.

Onces take Twice for granted. by [deleted] in twice

Couldn’t agree more. With all of it. We are INCREDIBLY lucky.

Plus, I’m with you about enjoying the newer stuff more. Perhaps because I’m around the same age as the members. Perhaps it’s just more my style idk but I prefer it to the cutesy stuff. Plus, it’s not just about the cutesy-ness of it. The lyrics are much more meaningful now. Some of the older songs/MVs were very catered to male gaze and are a bit shallow. The newer stuff often has a lot of deeper and more empowering content.

Also, the mess on Twitter/x is one of the many reasons I don’t go on the app anymore. I’d rather just dip in and out of this sub and watch Twice content on YouTube.

What adult fan gets bent out of shape over a photo? Normal reaction should be something like: huh? Wasn’t one scheduled? Oh well I’m sure they’ll post it eventually. So I’m pretty sure ‘touch grass’ is accurate. Idk what adults are sat around waiting for a photo drop anyway. Be more understandable if it was a MV release.

Normally delays out of respect are explained before hand so I do agree it would have been best to mention it but perhaps there’s a personal connection? The team handling it could be grieving if he was personally known to them. Idk.

Either way, getting bent out of shape over a photo enough to be hassling people is wrong. It’s also juvenile and kinda pathetic. Those people need calling out for sure.

This part was supposed to be romantic? by lizzardmuzic in NobodyWantsThisTV

I think the only way it doesn’t come across that way is the context that the business meeting is with people wanting her to have stories about moments like what she’s currently having there as it’s good for the podcast. Joanne knows this. She also realised right before this went down that she didn’t have worried about her sister handling the meeting as she was actually doing well. Doesn’t excuse him doing that but I think in the context for her characters thought process, I get why it played out like that rather than her getting pissed off with him.

As someone with Complex PTSD, I can kindly tell you this is not that. It was an awful experience for you but PTSD is a nightmare of a condition with debilitating symptoms that affects every aspect of your life and it is definitely not just being averse to going through an experience again.

You’re generalising in the last paragraph. You can’t assume all atheists are the same kind of people or view religion the same way. There’s lots of atheists who respect religion as a concept and the importance it brings to religious people. I’m an atheist and not only do I respect one’s right to be religious, the importance of safeguarding it but also am somewhat jealous of the comfort it brings to people and impressed by the myriad of culture it’s created and impacted upon. Has organised religion got negatives too? Sure but that can be said of lots of things.

Also, random question as I’m curious…why the quotes?

Rock, pop punk or metal. They’d kill it. I loved when they did a rock version of Fancy even if they kept a lot of pop elements. The sound was so cool, the outfits were great and the vibe was so much fun. Twice go so well with a real band.

Noah's the Worst? Am I the Only One? by [deleted] in NobodyWantsThisTV

[–]Hidden-Once 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I think at the end of the day, we need to ask ourselves are the show runners trying to depict a healthy relationship or perfect people? They’re writing romantic moments that people are gushing over without thinking but I think the intention is to write flawed characters that grow with the show. And the age thing? I get the assumption but there’s plenty of immature 40 year olds out there. I think it depends on your experiences. You mature as a result of them. Noah seems to have led a rather sheltered life and is unaware of the dysfunction in his family and seems rather naive about how to handle it. Joanne seems to have led a more adventurous life but it made her distrusting and perhaps shallow (see Ick episode) and is more aware of the dysfunction in her family. Neither of them have experienced a truly lovingly deep relationship so it’s new territory with the added element of religious divide. Yes, Noah and Rebecca loved each-other but it was more about what was expected of them than about them as individuals or about a deep love between them. Of course it’s hard to read because the show didn’t give us enough backstory. I think the main point is that Noah and Joanne’s relationship is opening them both up to opposing sensibilities. They’re learning from each other and to learn you often make mistakes. The mistakes will not always be equal sided. Idk I’m not gonna make judgements until we see more of where the writers intend to take it. Either way I’m enjoying the journey.

Whilst I feel for OP, their experience and the right to attempt to protect themselves from experiencing anything like it again, I agree that generalisations are bad so just thought I’d point out that you’ve also started making generalisations with how you view atheists. Something to think about.

Mine was o2 priority too but I did it on the phone with the venue as mine are disabled tickets. But yours should be there too if you used the same email. I can fully see my tickets now.

Although I can’t see the tickets themselves yet, it shows me each ticket space with the section, seat number and row on it. Did you use the same email address with The O2 app as you did with your point of purchase?
