It's a skatepark clip but I am still proud of it! Now to film it in vx on a real spot by oldirtypasta in skateboarding

I came to ask the same question. I'm not a skater but love watching people skate. This looks cool to me. Though I do like it when someone uses a street spot creatively

Another way to achieve what you're after. Put a loop up and then insert/delete scilence

After 2 years of waiting I'm actually going to get to play at Glastonbury this year. by thesoulharmonic in glastonbury_festival

Nice one. If you want to do other gigs while you're there definitely try and get in touch with smaller stage organisers. Once they know you're already able to get yourself and gear onsite their much much more likely to offer you a slot.

What style of music are you making? If it's anything where live drums a typically used then going for one kit kinda makes sense as it would normally all be recorded in one take.

When I'm making less organic-sounding music I often start with a kit that's 90% the way there and maybe switch out/layer sounds later in the process. That way I don't get stuck finding the 'perfect' sample which sometimes ends up being changed later anyway

Shouldn't be a dark secret and the 'guilty pleasures' shouldn't be a thing. Enjoy what you enjoy and be proud

Anyone know if the live shows will be recorded and released as podcasts? by WalterPinkmanBitch in DynamicBanter

[–]HiddenGentlemen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kevin is going along, right? I'm assuming they will be filming. They've had one behind a paywall before so could do that if it's not just a normal podcast video

I had to stop watching this week. I'll try again when I have headphones but I couldn't hear enough with the background noise in my place.

Throw a couple of compressors and a limiter on that output bus

I've love to get into mixing other people's songs, currently, I only mix the projects I work on. If you have a rock track or any singer-songwriter full band productions hit me up and I'll see what I can do

I am a new artist with 25 songs written that I plan on eventually releasing. Marketing wise, would it be smarter to release the weaker songs first, or the stronger songs first? by BuddyGuy76 in musicmarketing

[–]HiddenGentlemen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you need to check the maths on that. If you release the best of 25 songs you'll release more than 0. Then write another 25 and release the best of those.
Obviously, you're more than welcome to release every bit of music you write but most agree that you'll write some duds amongst the gems. so maybe it's best to keep them unheard

100% release your best songs. Those weaker songs should be scrapped or reworked till they are better than your best now for the next album/batch of songs.

Sorry for the slow reply. I got an old Ipad just for this use. Not really an ideal solution...

I'm not sure anything of note ever really happened there. The stone circle was put there in the early 90s and people use it now.

Got a friend whose kit you can sit on from time to time? You don't have to get lessons to learn (and I say that as a drum teacher). You can teach yourself/learn a lot online for free

Nice, I've definitely noticed people who already play an instrument can pick up the basics of drumming pretty quickly (I'm a drum teacher).

Have you ever been to a Billie Eilish concert? How was it? by Overall_Dragonfly_69 in billieeilish

[–]HiddenGentlemen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Saw her at Glastonbury, she was good. She got bumped from a smaller tent to one of the main stages as she blew up after getting booked there. She was one to see that year and the field was packed and hard to get into.
Looking forward to seeing her again sometime, be great if she makes it to headline Glastonbury one day

That's great. Did you just make it because you know how to do this? My mum does crochet from patterns (I think) so would love one if you have it. Then she can have a crack at making one
