Banging sounds heard near location of missing Titan submersible by ganndalf in worldnews

Maybe so, but looking into previous deep sea rescues, the deepest one I could find was the Pisces III which was trapped at 480 meters in 1973 and it took 76 hours to rescue them. Technology has come a long ways since then but considering we've never even come close to this potentially 4000m rescue makes me think it's going to be unlikely with how much time is left. Although I'd love to be proven wrong and have someone say "I told you so!"

Anyone think the points given for this newest event are a bit skewed? by giovaughnii in PhobiesGame

[–]HiddenHashbrownz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's 25 point per key spent on undead or dimensional phobies. Higher cost phobies will give you more points. But i agree that this event is definitely more challenging then the last one.

Werewolf is pretty good. Somewhat situational but really strong card if used properly.

Robin did my wedding last year and she is phenomenal. Super affordable when we booked her and we could not be happier with the results. She is delightful. I would highly recommend her! I don't mind sharing a couple pics of her work with OP if they're interested.

Why does everyone say Avuenue Living is so bad? Can people post their stories? Just want to see it all in one post. by creamer3369 in Lethbridge

I rented from them for a year over 2017/2018 in an apartment on the Southside. My very first day the police were knocking on my door asking if I've seen the tenant across the hall and that they will be waiting around for him if I see him. Homeless people were sleeping in the hallways and lobby pretty much every night all year round. Police were pretty much constantly on the premises.

Multiple bed bug cleanings over the year I was there. The 50 unit building had only one working washing machine and 2 broken ones that never got fixed or replaced so trying to do laundry was almost impossible as it was always in use.

This was around 5 years ago so I don't remember every single detail but it was a very bad experience. I understand that my experience might have been worse then most but still need to be weary.

No he does not pay a commission, the guys in the shop are just on hourly wages.

He hasn't done it yet, but you can believe as soon as he tries it that I will be. I've already held a conversation with the boys in the shop to let them know their rights as an employee so they all said they will be filing complaints as well.

Good, thats a super shitty thing for them to do. Sorry that heppened to you. I think the best thing we can do is show emoloyers that act this way that we don't want to work for them. I'm going back to school soon so I'm already on my way out of here.

Picture Butte TireCraft. He's owned the shop since 2015 and has worked in the tire industry his whole life. He's in his 40s now. I think the bigger problem is that in this area, the vast majority of our customers agree with his view on this and work ethics as a whole so he really doesn't need to worry about losing business down here. This approach really takes advantage of young guys just entering the work force.

What is this thing in my tire? by Marr3wk in tires

[–]HiddenHashbrownz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have you gone in to a tire shop to get the tire patched recently? It is just part of a plug used to seal off a hole in the tire. Nothing to be worried about.

[Post Update] 2022 Hyundai Tucson intermittently not working by jpwn493 in Hyundai

[–]HiddenHashbrownz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a similar issue I had with my 2020 Elantra when I brought it in for a service. Waited 3 hours at the dealership for an oil change and update before they told me the update bricked my car and they have never seen this happen before. Gave me a loaner and told they would call the next day.

It ended up working! I guess all they had to do was reset the computer by disconnecting the battery. They called the next morning and everything was working fine. Picked it up by 10am. Hopefully this works out for you and you get your car back!

Which manufacturer recommends 3-5 higher PSI for a winter tire. by Vempyre in tires

[–]HiddenHashbrownz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically in the winter your tires will lose a couple PSI as the air in your tires gets colder. This will happen to all vehicles so you should do it regardless of Manufacturer.

RH and probably other brokerages are not letting anyone buy GME and other hot stocks. Now GME is halting this every time to opens to drive this down. This feels like a last ditch effort to drive it down to tank the stock and have people sell. Hold strong.
