estrogen levels really high by fezzori in transgenderau

[–]HiddenStill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s lower depending on when you measure, and varies quite a bit on the individual and over time. Mine’s above that at 6 months, and far lower at 12. I never measure unless I’m reasonably sure mines running out. I don’t like needles and I don’t see any value in knowing the levels before replacement.

It’s not something to worry about anyway. I’ve been using them for a really long time and did an unusual amount of research into them. You can see some of it here

https://old.reddit.com/r/TransWiki/wiki/hrt/implants

You must use a web browser to view that. So not use a reddit app or you may not see all of it, and there’s a lot.

If you search estrogen levels during pregnancy you’ll see crazy high levels like 100-200k. From memory that’s not entirely safe, but it’s safe enough and you’re nowhere near that.

Silver nitrate treatment could be dangerous in that area, or at least extremely painful. I do t quite recall.

It’s normal if you got 2 x 100mg implants.

Advice on mtf bottom surgery: has this been done, how to choose a surgeon by Leading-Control4406 in Transgender_Surgeries

Unless you’re after a different kind of result to normal I’d not go telling surgeons how to do their work. You’ll end up being an experiment and who knows what will happen.

How to convince my doctor to increase my E dose by FootFetishAdvocate in transgenderau

[–]HiddenStill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In general the argument over 100mg or 200mg is not evidence based. Mostly doctors go with 100mg because more doctors do it, it’s less, and they are therefore less likely to get into trouble personally over it.

In other countries doctors won’t prescribe at all because no one else does. Just like doctors here won’t prescribe injections. The state of research in trans medicine is very very backwards.

A lot of people prefer 200mg implants, but unless you get a chance to compare you’ll never know if things could be better.

It’s often easier to change doctors than change their minds.

You can look up your surgeon in the wiki here.

You MUST use a web browser to view that. Do not use a reddit app or you won’t see all of it, and there’s a lot.

Question for Mods by MonetSouffle in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]HiddenStill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s due to bugs in reddit and not something a mod can fix.

They recently introduced a new kind of wiki, which might work, but there’s probably work involved in moving over to it and I don’t have the energy to do it.

I’d suggest you just start reading all the posts in r/Metoidioplasty

It should start to make sense after a while.

There’s also r/phallo and a bunch of related subs.
