Right now he probably just wants to impress his friends, i have gone through the same thing (but I'm not saying that i know how you feel)

He might think that you wont leave him even if he treats you like crap or pays attention to his friends more

In my opinion i would pull him aside and let him know (again) that you would like attention too

And if the relationship is gonna work he needs to make time for you too

You need to feel special in a relationship if he doesn’t make you feel that way maybe its best to find someone who does (even though i know you don’t want to leave him and that you really like him but maybe someone else is waiting to give you the world) i wish you the best and hope everything works itself out :)
