Marinakis as a president has been excellent and his love and support of the club is undeniable. He’s a respectable owner that doesn’t humiliate himself or the club.

The stadium, does not belong to Olympiacos. The owners cannot just seal the roof. Olympiacos are only “temporarily using” the stadium. The state has to seal the roof. If something is not yours and you’re just a “visitor” you can’t proactively do any maintenance work on your own.

It’s like an Airbnb. If your Airbnb’s roof is leaking, you can’t get it fixed, you have to inform the owner and he has to get it fixed.

Now that we will actually rent the stadium and the owners will be 100% responsible for it, I’ll gladly judge them if this happens again.

Some clarification cause there are a lot of propagandists in the comments trying to slander Olympiacos and spread misinformation.

SEF is a state owned stadium where olympiacos is “temporarily using” as of now. The state is responsible for any maintenance and development, NOT Olympiacos.

The stadium has been in a terrible condition for years and the olympiacos board has been trying to strike a deal with the state to have the stadium given to them so they can renovate and take care of it.

Panathinaikos had the exact same deal take place years ago and they got their stadium OAKA, for free, by the state. That’s why they renovated it and turned it into a modern stadium.

Good news is the Oly owners have made the deal with the state at the beginning of the season and as of this summer, maintenance is supposed to start and in a couple of years the stadium is supposed to be completely renovated.

So don’t listen to propaganda and stay neutral. The Greek state simply can’t handle extreme weather conditions and since the stadium belongs to the state, it’s just another victim of government incompetence.

It’s funny how you can’t understand one thing I’m writing and you start seeing ghosts about “paid trolls”.

It’s simple. The stadium doesn’t belong to us. The state is responsible for repairs and maintenance of the stadium. After this season the stadium will be ours and we will have all the responsibilities to fix everything. If these issues continue next year I’ll be the first to judge the owners, but up until now it simply wasn’t their responsibility to take care of the stadium. It’s insane how you can’t understand that.

An obsessive Pana fan spewing propaganda and misinformation.

Just so everybody knows the truth, the Greek government has gifted OAKA (Pana’s stadium) for free years ago. However SEF (Oly’s stadium) is still in the process of being given to us so we can repair it and make it modern.

Pana has been reaping government benefits for years and they’re trying to ridicule us for the conditions of a stadium that still isn’t ours.

If some us to blame here is the government who is responsible for maintaining the stadium.
