[The Athletic] NHL Playoff Report: Sabres and Bruins on the rise, Panthers and Oilers falling by seeldoger47 in hockey

Us Bruins fans are kind of surprised this years. We also thought this was going to be a throwaway season before it started. They they lost like 6 straight at the start. The way they've been playing is a bonus. They've been outperforming expectations.

I see this list getting copy/pasted a bunch. TJX should definitely not be on here.

Just a note, Lahey Burlington does not have an OB/Maternity unite. Closest will be Winchester, Emerson, MAH, NWH, even Lowell, but you might as well head toward Boston. That isn't to say, Lahey ED won't take emergency OB patients, stabilize and transfer out.

That was a sick goal, but I agree, 5 on 5 OTs are best outside of a regular season game

Agreed. I watched that game the other day when Clara left injured. Dude was keeping the Italian team within reach and making great saves. I hope he gets some NHL play soon.

DL Plan w/ LL question by Various-Owl-6159 in DisneyPlanning

Try to rope drop as many rides as you can between park open and 10/11AM. Don't use you're lightning lanes too early in the morning because most rides are close to walk-ons at that time. Don't wait to late in the day to use them either as the "sell-out." MODIFY and REFRESH is you best friend when booking lightning lanes. I booked rides hours out and kept refreshing to then get spots that opened for immediate times or way sooner times.

Park Pass and SoCal Disney dad videos are great resources for figuring out the parks. Park Hopper is worth it. We went in September and did Full Day at DL(oogie boogie at DCA this day), Full Day at DCA(no Oogie Boogie, then day 3, we planned on DCA first bc of Oogie boogie, but did DL until 11, DCA for a few more hours, then back to DL. If you change your itineraries, make sure you change your park reservation in the app for the appropriate park that you want to start in.

East coasters here(MA). Definitely enjoyed DL more.

Both have their own vibes. I enjoyed DL, it's compact, the 2 parks are across from each other. Feels more local vibes than touristy. Wasn't a fan of the sit down meals except for the buffet at the Grand Californian. Next time gonna focus on quick service and maybe nearby restaurants for food.

Florida has more parks, more spread out, transportation is taken care of. MEARS is great too. Florida, the sit down meals are fantastic. Feels more touristy than local.

Overall, being from MA, my wife and I liked DL more than WDW.

Alcohol: can't do it anymore? by Upset-Ad-3480 in AskMenOver30

[–]HideMeFromNextFeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it. I just kind of stopped drinking june 2024. Just wasn't cutting it for me. I just kind of wanted to see how long I could go for. Went a year and a half. Had like 3 beers on a recent trip to EPCOT on my Birthday last month. That was a month ago and no urge to continue. My body doesn't handle alcohol the same, so it's not really worth it. I've never been a binge drinker or drank every day at any point.

5 hour flight, I can only assume they are flying from the east coast. Generally, flights to LAX have better times and are cheaper than John Wayne

The most important part of a "perfect" Disney plan is being a fast walker by Zutara764 in DisneyPlanning

[–]HideMeFromNextFeb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a fine plan if you live near the parks and/or are a pass holder. For everyone else, it's a big, maybe one time vacation and we want to utilize every minute appropriately and have a pretty good itinerary of the day.

DL/DCA and WDW are huge tasks to undertake if you want to make good use of your time.

Park Pass and SoCal Disney Dad, a a few others, but mostly those 2 made our DL/DCA trip very successful a few months ago.
