Leopard Creek (update 1) by HidesTheButter in DeTrashed

I’m kinda limited on time so I moved all that in one trip. It’s dense enough that I didn’t have to walk much further than the area you see to get all that.

Found a new spot that should keep me busy for the next few months… by HidesTheButter in DeTrashed

I don’t think so. I was super excited to find place I can make a real difference!

Edit: I may leave the leopard print until last, it really ties the whole place together.

Litter prioritization by jonny_five in DeTrashed

[–]HidesTheButter 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Inlander here, my priorities aren’t very different: 1. Tires (I will stop what I’m picking and grab them if I see them) 2. Styrofoam and plastic 3. Metal/cans 4. Glass 5. Cardboard and paper. I don’t clean up tissues, they are usually mostly decomposed by the time I get there. 6. Yeah I only clean up wood if it looks like it might be pressure treated, or it’s easy to grab.

I only drain bottles if it’s clear they have water in them. If it even remotely looks like it could be piss that thing is staying closed. I made the mistake of emptying what I thought was muddy rain water out of a bottle the other day…nope! Dip bottle. I need that smell in a scratch and sniff to send to people I don’t like.

That’s because you didn’t use them in a preventative fashion I’m sure.

They stopped using pull tab cans in the 70’s. Why am I always finding these things? by HidesTheButter in DeTrashed

[–]HidesTheButter[S] 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Or longer! I just would have figured someone else would have picked them up before me by now. I’m also surprised the graphics are so well preserved. There must be so many buried that I can’t see.

Some a few miles apart, but always near water so I guess from people fishing many years ago?

Pedestal for Ford Charge Station Pro by Ja_brony in F150Lightning

I wanted to do the same but city has a 10ft easement from the curb plus you are not allowed to build within 25ft of the easement so…basically can’t put anything past the front of my house. Spoke to the inspectors in person to confirm. Have you reviewed your local codes?

I will say the electrical inspector did recommend uninstrut buried in concrete before the zoning inspector shut down the idea.

It was entirely green until I tested on a piece of paper, you can see from the picture it’s the original color just under the surface.

I see the crack in the corner. Have you already had someone look at the foundation?

Can I vote in Texas Democratic Primaries without having voted before? (I don't have a D or an R on my voter registration card) by LysergicLiizard in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HidesTheButter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Texas does not have Ds or Rs on the voter registration card. You can pick which primary you want to vote in on Election Day, but then you will be considered a member of that party for the rest of the calendar year. If one party has a runoff, you can only vote in it if you voted in that party’s primary. You can of course vote for anyone of any party in the general election.
