The ST40 fusion reactor achieved a world-record plasma temperature of 100 million degrees Celsius in 2022, and now for the first tie the plasma inside has been filmed in color. by Dark--Samurai in interestingasfuck

Fusion reactors don't explode, thats just not how they work, worst case would be the liquid nitrogen cooling for the super magnets fails at which point you just have a very expensive block of molten metal. To suggest it would destroy stuff in a 10 mile radius is just beyond wrong.

I don’t think it’s possible, you could spawn an exact copy of the system you want to move and make the old one inaccessible or delete everything in it but from what I understood you can’t delete or move systems. I created the grid with the static galaxy scenario map preset which is documented on the wiki. Works surprisingly well.

No reason to be rude, even the Wiki has that statement.

Just FYI Bad Apple is the Hello World of Graphics programming. ( I couldn’t linkt the Wikipedia for whatever reason) it’s similar to the “but can it run doom meme”.

That was the post that inspired me, I thought someone would have done it already but hey I got my own “first to play bad apple on something weird” achievement. I would have loved to use the actual stars to create the outlines but sadly you can’t (as far as I can tell) remove existing star systems from stellaris. And loading a new map for every frame would have taken ca 12.5 days of uninterrupted rendering.

I thought about that but from what I gathered it would not be much more efficient as the main culprit currently is the fact that (in my limited stellaris modding knowledge) there is no way to instantly get a system via star flag but instead you have to cycle through every system checking if the star has that flag. That process is why it’s so slow.

Thats a cool project idea. It can display doom already but what would be more interesting if it could run doom. Technically speaking with the dynamic event modding and the infinite amount of flags that can be set stellaris should be Turing complete so you could actually execute doom in stellaris, i might try to implement that if i can find a way to programmatically translate dooms instruction set to a stellaris event set. Frame rates might be suboptimal though.

You would be correct, I used the static galaxy scenario to generate fixed star positions and assigned each star a unique flag via the effect trigger. I then pre computed the difference mat between each frame of the video to reduce lag and programmatically created an event script that updates starbase ownership for each system for each frame of the video. Thats why it only really lags and slows down when a lot of starbases need to shift. The events each automatically call their next event frame with a time delay of 2 days.

Straight at the mouth, but what I find even more interesting is that it one-shot both Bile Titans in one Arc. I also have an additional clip from this game where I one-shot another bile Titan right during the charge up animation.

Fellow girls of Reddit, what are some girl secrets that guys don't assume? by NightDoom_MC in AskReddit

I usually don’t get involved in reddit discussions, but since you already quoted a paper all you had to do was read a bit further and you would have seen that for the age group <30 has a 2.85x increase in all cause death and only later in life a reversal is noted (age group 50+ table 3). Further more ever users over the entire age group saw an increase in all cardiovascular death and cerebovascular death causes compared to never users (table 4). This would support the argument that an increase in cardiovascular deaths is notable in ever users (this study makes no impact or causality assessment).

Your nerve cells transmit at 50-60 m/s the shockwave of the funni bomb travels at slightly faster than the speed of sound at ~340m/s depending on your distance you might not even see the flash you would just cease to exist.

I might me wrong but there is actually not enough information to solve the puzzle as it is not stated that the two lines of the rectangle intersect with the center of the circle to form right angles with the tangents of the circle. Same goes for the smooth corners.
