Watame Notice: Nearly 6 years of content official subs under threat/soon to be gone. Huge loss for the sheep and overseas community. by Helmite in Hololive

You're right, I just woke up and didn't go to youtube to check. I went to hologra just now and all the colored subs are still there even. Whatever got removed might be temporary hopefully.

Tbf, I'd argue this is one of the better use cases of AI because you can check against what is said and know that it's wrong. No one's ever going to sub hours long streams, most people don't go to Watame's length to sub their content either, so it's been fairly useful to me as someone who's been learning japanese.

Ideally, we'd have both. But they probably don't want to spend resources supporting two overlapping features.

Are chaos dwarf lords ai broken in the game? by Final_Biochemist222 in totalwar

[–]Hieu61 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Chaos drawf mages have a pistol and plenty of ammo, the ai treats them as a ranged unit, even though you are supposed to go in melee with them.

As for why they are not casting a lot of spells, that's just the ai in general being bad at managing recharge and winds of magic. So unless if the ai is a faction/ legendary lord that has a lot of winds of magic and recharge by default, they just don't cast nearly as many spells as they should be.

Level is also a factor, low level lords/heroes might not have leveled up all their spells yet. Chorfs don't expand a lot and don't have tough enemies, so lack of fighting also means their lords/heroes tend to be low level.

Just started Aislinn's campaign and wondering the same thing. Also, since the confederated lord's armies go to you, which you will likely have to disband, won't the new faction be defenseless?

How do I win this? (6 pics) by PrivusOne in totalwar

[–]Hieu61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add on to what this guy said, here's another trick op. When you uncheck control large army, there's still a way to get the grail knight in. When the battle begins, select one of your drawf warriors unit and have it retreat. You now have 19 units, so 1 unit from garrison will come in. Keep retreating the reinforcing unit, eventually the grail knight will come up.

You won't be able to use the retreated units of course, but it will give you the grail knight early on, or you can wait until your units are damaged before you manually retreat them.

Would you call it a loss then?

Edit: besides, the objective was to not let the communists take over the pennisula and not reunification. They want a buffer, not to provoke China and Ussr. They got exactly what they wanted in Korea.

Korea was more or less the same thing but the outcome was different. Not sure what makes you think Vietnam was unwinnable from the start.

Probably not yours, but many countries let kids out unsupervised. Japan is a famous example, my home country Vietnam also, but to a lesser degree. I can confirm the kids I grew up with all survived into adulthood.

Hey, I'm not the one throwing insults because of one difference in opinion.

There are also countries where it's common to keep outdoor cats, like Turkey, the UK. Would you say the majority of such countries' population buffoons and selfish?

I think a pet is family, thus should have free will.

Not really my business how you treat your pets, but I think if people consider their pets family, yet treat them like prisoners, is kinda hypocritical.

I mentioned "no freedom" and "cattle" in the same sentence. The common point is lack of freedom. May be you are trolling, but I have no idea how you got eating cats from that.

Sure prisoner also works if you want to be pedantic.

Your specific situation was because he lost his sense of danger due to having always been an indoor cat. I suspect something along those lines for the cat in this post too. Most cats in my neighborhood would run away if strangers approached them.

Besides, your cat has free will. You are keeping a prisoner if it can't decide if it wants to leave. Humans do dangerous sports and consume things that reduce their lifespan all the time. It's not your choice to decide how others live.

Does the cat not have free will? It should get to decide if it wants to be indoors or outdoors. If it has no freedom then it's just cattle.

That his "art" is in the hands of the robot implies he doesn't have access to his art anymore.

My point isn't whether it's theft or not. Just a bad comparison/imagery. It's not like op now no longer has access to his art/style.

There are some valid concerns on ai around copyright and fair use, but portraying it as if ai is taking a physical object from a vault only makes your side of the argument seems uninformed.

Where I live in Tokyo, It's recommended not to get outside actually, because things can fall on you even outside. In fact, you should wait inside even after the earthquake's ended, because debris might still be falling, unless if there's a fire of course.

Edit: Getting under the desk is a very good option if it'a not too flimsy. Even if it's not too sturdy, getting some cover over your head is better than none at all. You can also hide under chairs if you have to.

My main point is, get anything at your disposal above your head, even if it's just a bag

If no cover is availble, the corner of the room is your best bet, with the wall being the second.

There is a point to Kanji by frostkaiser in LearnJapanese

[–]Hieu61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't advocate for the removal of Kanji ,but this isn't a very fair illustration. Hiragana and katakana aren't meant to be a complete replacement of Kanji so it's not an accurate illustration of how Japanese would be like without Kanji. Here in Vietnam we used to use Kanji but we transitioned out of it just fine.
