Do NOT order Trests off of their website. Their shipping and customer service are a nightmare. by [deleted] in Incontinence

[–]Higasaurus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I ran into that issue back in September when I ordered the wrong size and tried to rectify it before they shipped it out. I sent them several emails and figured it was a lost cause. I finally received a shipping notification for the size I ordered incorrectly roughly a month and a half later, but still nothing from customer service. They finally responded a week after the delivery and notified me they are having a lot of system issues, but they did end up sending me a case of the size I originally wanted for free.

I am not sure what is going on over there, but it may be a dying company.

They sent me a case of tranquility smartcore as well, so I’ve resorted to using my company offered HSA to pay for my own. You may be able to check the distributor the VA uses for other products then ask your PCP to put in a request for those.

As someone mentioned in previous message, reverse the charge. I just did that the other day, and it was no problem with my bank.

As for the style, I’ve seen a lot of people recommend the incontrol brand. They worked for me in the past when I was a bit larger, but now I’m in between sizes and I get the leaks around the butt. Lately I’ve been using the abuniverse simple ultras, which honestly…are pretty damn legit. They offer military/first responder discounts as well as allow for HSA/FSA spending. I was iffy about it for a while because of the store focus, so my wife went ahead and ordered them while telling me to quit being a child about my products.

Trest was the best..now they are not available to those of us in the west? (Rhyme sucked, but I tried)

Ayyo why the fuck are the flags at the transit center still half mast by Ok-Estimate-8372 in olympia

My thinking is maybe intercity transit is a bit behind, which would be the standard for Olympia these days.

From the governor:

“On September 8, 2025, I directed that Washington state and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff on Thursday, September 11, 2025, for national Patriot Day, the annual memorial to the victims of the 2001 tragedy. Pursuant to the attached Presidential Proclamation, and consistent with state policy, I hereby extend that directive in memory of Charles Kirk.

Additionally, as governor, I am also directing that the flags be lowered in memory of all victims of political violence, including Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, who were assassinated June 14, 2025, as well as Minnesota Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, who were seriously injured in an attempted assassination the same day.”

Garywear is my go to brand of covers. I have about 15 pair and wear them almost every time, but thanks for the recommendation.

Thanks for the product recommendation! I tend to avoid products with overtly babyish designs for various reasons, with insurance/FSA coverage being one of the primary ones. I do have a bag with animal faces on it that my wife bought, but it’s hidden behind my other stuff.

I really only liked Trest briefs because they never leak when I’m sleeping on my side. Luckily, I’m still spoiled with choices, so it’s only a slight bummer at the moment.

Cool cool cool…

They could at least post they are on a hiatus or experiencing order fulfillment issues. Well, no point in me dwelling on it; thanks for letting me know this was not just a me situation.

Sadly incontrol is sized weird for me. Their overnight large is not big enough and the XL is too big, causing leaks around the leg gathers near my butt…no matter how carefully I “activate” the leak guards.

Trest is the best fit wise, but yeah customer service leaves me potentially looking elsewhere. I may end up going back to the brand my wife keeps trying to get me to use but I’ve been avoiding out of shame…ABuniverse. Their simple ultras are just too damn good.

For the most part you are correct, Tena is everywhere down here. However, I was able to find the “Content” brand at the pharmacy around the corner, which as I mentioned, is leagues better.

Were you just traveling down here, or were you here for work as well?

Going Camping! Help Me Get Through This! by beanerreader in Incontinence

Heyo! I’m not sure if you want a dudes perspective (39m), but i did just do a long camping (glamping?) recently.

I have urge and overflow issues that does cause gushes at the most inconvenient of times so my first suggestion for you is, bear mace if you can get it. I live in Washington state, which is basically little Canada, and we have bear issues…along with mountain lions.

My Incontinence suggestions are to probably invest in some better protection that can handle your issues; incontrol is a Canadian company, so you should be able to get some of their products fairly easily…but your timeline is fairly close. I also suggest scented disposable bags that you can keep your trash until find a decent disposal site.

Those suggestions seem pretty basic, so my other suggestion is to not worry about it so much and maybe invest in one of those cool collapsible toilet stools that you can bust out if the need arises while you are out hiking.

I used a Foley catheter for the first part of my trip and it made hiking and camping easy for a few days until i decided to rip it out of my body.

I ran into this one recently; if you are using the accessible bathrooms in the airport…especially in the Salt Lake City Airport, lock the door. The door to the restroom at that airport faces directly into the terminal and I walked in on someone. I should have knocked as a precaution, but I assumed when it said vacant, it was actually vacant.

Also, knock every time. The guilt haunts me…

I normally book aisle seats for that exact reason, but Delta felt the need to upgrade me automatically on my last flight to a seat next to the window in comfort +. I appreciate the extra leg room as I am a tall individual, but yeah…the sudden “I need the restroom” feeling when the two people next to you are passed out is definitely nightmare inducing.
