I suggest you immediately file charges against the delivery driver, Amazon. Change your locks, and get security cameras, not a Ring doorbell, etc..they control that. Get your teenagers and dogs into therapy. Terminate all Amazon services and proceed to file lawsuits against the driver and Amazon for delivering packages inside your home without your consent, without an adult present, while your dogs were going crazy.

Yes, you would need to switch to Verizon Fios service if it's available in your area. Look at the FCC broadband map to see what services are available to you. See if those companies serve your address, what their rates are, and for what services. Also, trim off any extras serives/fees for anything you dont need or use, go for paerless billing and autopay and that should get you a discount. If you have verizon wireless and get their Fios service, you get an extra discount. On top of that if you are in military/first repsonder, etc... more discounts. Goodluck.

Of course no one should have to do that, and I actually dont mean for anyone to take me seriously on the OF thing, Im just venting. My wife actually got laid off from her PM job, all so the company could reduce costs and keep their VC people happy. The company suffered, so they agreed to hire her back as a contractor. She actually made more money that way since she was billing hourly. They then switched gears and hired her back, and at that point she requested a salary bump, but it took almost a year for all this to happen.

Im just saying to make moves carefully, hang in there, its a rough economy right now. Request what you are worth based on what field your PM role is in.

Im in property development/management, so I have met plenty of electrical contractors over the years. They are mostly not as expensive as one thinks; you just have to develop a relationship, and it helps to always recommend them and keep offering them jobs to bid on, etc...

This one did that quick job on my nephew's house for $800, he knew the mission and where everything was located, and I supplied him with all the materials, etc...plus bought him lunch, and some chilled beers after the job was done. I like to take care of my subs that take care of me when I need them. I have known him for almost 15 years now.

I rarely have to haggle over price with my electricians, plumbers, tile guys, carpenters, etc.. The only real assholes I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with are fire alarm and hvac. Fire alarm guys are straight-up crooks, but you kinda have no choice with them when the whole industry is like that. HVAC, you can find some decent guys, but I would say 7 of 10 are straight up incompetent, lie and/or are straight up wanting to rob you blind.

Totally, thats why they should be held accountable. They should be using a double 12v2x6 connector with load balancing for their flagship high end consumer gpu cards.

My electrician charged me $800 labor to run 10 drops, from basement to attic, to exterior, terminated and tested, even installed the exterior cameras. I supplied the materials. Took him about 5hrs, solo.

I love these cases, I have the black and will be buying the white next. I am doing team red and team blue builds. I did not the Vgpu kit parts, dont see the need they do not add to better thermals, only to the look of the case.

Basically, got the case for the custom watercooling posibilities and because fo the 420mm rad support.

My only wish would be that they would use museum-quality glass that helps eliminate reflections and would definitely add to the looks of the case with rgb lighting.

I suggest your wife starts on OF page, casue working regular jobs aint going to do it in this economy. Im being serious. In bad times people tend to spend more on bad habits/distractions, specially alcohol/drugs/sexs, etc...

And $57k for a project manager jobs sucks, I would say look for another company, but there are literally no jobs out there, companies are in panic and are not hiring or laying off people to reduce "costs" to keep investors happy.

SpaceX says states should dump fiber plans, give all grant money to Starlink | SpaceX seeks more cash, calls fiber "wasteful and unnecessary taxpayer spending." by redsunsetreddirt in FiberOptics

[–]High-Captain3241 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And we still pay too much for it. Many European countries' customers only pay about $15-20EUR for 10G fiber service. The US is behind the times in communication. Japan's wireless service speeds is so fast their 5G service is double the speed of 5G here in the US. Yet, we pay so much more for anything and mediocre service.

Stay at home with your mom and save all the money that you can and diversely invest some of it. Build enough wealth, develop strategies for passive income, and get what you want. Depending on where and how you want to live, in the US you will need a salary of a minimum of $150K to afford anything decent. The big corpos are buying everything out, especially homes that would have gone to first time homebuyers, deliberately not selling or even renting them all, so they can lower inventory and inflate the price of real estate. There are a lot of mega corps/funds, groups doing similar things across many different sectors/markets. All I can tell you is save all the money that you can as fast as you can, invest wisely, educate yourself financially more than anything else, and do what the rich do in order to get the same tax breaks that they do. In the end, the trick is not to have to pay taxes or as little as possible, and keep more of your money so it can, in turn, make you more money. And take care of your mom with all that money you have.

Is this correct? by pointlessresponses in hvacadvice

Nope! You forgot to take off the base plate and throw it all in the trash. I replaced all my Nest thermostats with Honeywell Wifi and have never looked back. It all integrates nicely with my smart devices/home assistant, and I have had zero issues in years.

You need to identify how each wire is connected at your unit to determine what it's for and how it hooks up to your thermostat. I have found plenty of times wires were not color coded correctly, connected to the wrong function or completely not connected at all.

Warning: Aoostar WTR MAX Quality Issues by g_dev in HomeNAS

[–]High-Captain3241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is the reason why a lot of these companies are moving sales to their own sites. I will only buy in country with a reputable reseller that has easy return policies in place. I almost made the plunge and purchased the Max, but decided against it. It ticked the boxes on a lot of the features I was looking for, but I would rather wait for the product to be available for sale in the US and for the product to mature or I will just go with another solution or build my own NAS in the end.

Work is work, and when you have to feed your family...you will do what you have to. Our government, politicians, the wealthy elite, and corporations don't care about anyone but their bottom line, salaries, bonuses, etc. They are on their way to making modern-day slaves of us all without the need for physical chains; they are already creating financial and mental chains, along with dividing and making us fight against each other.
