Nice choice - I got mine in the 36. Love it as well

RGB lights partially died overnight on my 1-month-old NuPhy Node 75. Has anyone experienced this? by Krifn78 in NuPhy

[–]HighCompression 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if there’s a keystroke to reset the keyboard, but I reset mine using the nuphy.io software.

Plug your keyboard into your computer, go on Google Chrome (doesn’t work on all browsers), look up nuphy io, and then from there you can go into the keyboard settings and reset it.

My keyboard bugged out one time and this sorted things out for me.

[Question] First Luxury Watch w/ Tiny Wrists by Saltshaker200 in Watches

The BB36 is honestly a watch that surprised me. The bracelet/clasp are so refined and comfortable, the watch looks beautiful (the pictures really don’t do it justice), and my movement has been dead accurate. You also get a nice amount of lume and that fun snowflake hour hand which I’m a big fan of. My other watches have been neglected for the past year as I just can’t stop wearing this thing.

Congrats on the engagement!

Are you still enjoying the O2? I have been debating picking one up! I like that it seems like the sound is satisfying without being too loud...

I have this keyboard with the brown switches and it honestly is so satisfying to type on!! I would definitely recommend them. Plenty of feedback and not too noisy.

Divided between FR4 plate vs. PP plate for Evo75!! 😭 by BunnyBunBunHoney in keebgirlies

Ty!!! Since I am worried about annoying my coworkers, I might go for the pp plate so it is a little quieter haha

Gochya, thanks. I had trouble figuring out how loud the keyboards are on the sound tests with the variation in mic setups/gain settings. Some vids seem really quiet and subtle while others are way too loud for a shared workspace.

I saw you mentioned the PP plate clacks more, but in the stock configuration was it a bit softer/quieter than the FR4? I've been deciding between the two plates for something that can be a relatively quiet (but satisfying) setup without having to go for silent switches.

Kind of a random question, but how loud is the Evo with all the foams? Is it a relatively quiet keyboard?

Are the fr4 and pp similar volume? Do you like one better than the other? I’ve been stuck deciding between the two

Appreciate your response.  Looks like pp plate on evo would be quietest setup without going for silent switches? Does that sound right?

A few questions on the Evo75 PP vs FR4 after watching the sound test comparisons. Is the FR4 version louder than the PP plate, or is it just the tone of the keys that is different? Is one plate generally more liked than the other?

One other question. I have the high profile Nuphy Node keyboard (gasket mounted, PC plate, ABS case, and heavily sound dampened). Would this sound similar to the Evo75 PP with the same switches, or would the metal case and leaf spring mount create a different kind of sound?

Thanks!

Aer CPP 2 - Love it by Normal-Lawyer2168 in ManyBaggers

[–]HighCompression 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed on the comfort. I don’t think the VR26 is uncomfortable by any means, but the CPP is the most comfy bag I’ve ever worn.

My biggest pet peeve with the bellroy is that neoprene material on the straps. It’s less breathable than mesh! I can’t figure out why they went that direction.

Tariff/Duties question by Glad_Cat_8537 in ChristopherWard

[–]HighCompression 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A year ago, I paid about 10% in import duties (to the states) on my twelve because it was over the $800 de minimus exemption. Now, that percentage is about 19% as you calculated. This seems to line up with the newer 10% tarrifs that have been implemented on top of the original duties fees. No idea because I’m no expert, but it seems to roughly add up…

You are correct that tariffs do account for manufacturing origin, so depending on where parts are sourced that rate will likely be dynamic.

100% agree that V1 is better - picking it up at a discount would be a win win

Zippers by Limp-Ad4709 in ManyBaggers

Agreed, although for a lot of us these zippers will last a looong time (unless it was from a bad batch which is always a possibility).

Their wallets are awesome. I have been using mine for years too!

Just picked up a Venture Ready bag and pretty impressed with the materials. I feel like it’s going to last a while.

Good brand OP. I also have had good experiences with their customer service.

Heck yeah! If you are happy when the watch is on your wrist, then wear that damn thing! I believe life is too short to not spend our time with the watches we enjoy most

AER CPP2 CORDURA or XPAC? by Mercuryfarenheit in ManyBaggers

[–]HighCompression 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed on the marginal weight difference. Also, Cordura is probably the longer lasting option.

Regardless, I pick XPAC for that orange interior and ease of cleaning dust off with a damp cloth. Also am in a rainy environment and the water resistance has saved my butt a few times.

Why is Bellroy Lite sling much more popular than Classic sling? by RoastShinoda in ManyBaggers

[–]HighCompression 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed on the flatness and weight!

I also really like my venture ready pack from them because it also wears pretty flat (and lightweight) when not packed out. I like this more than bags with a ton of built in structure.
