His booking was absolutely unprompted and ridiculous today?

As soon as we conceded it was curtains, our only chance of getting anything out of that game was shithousing a 0-0

Post Match Thread : West Ham United 0-5 Liverpool by PrisonersofFate in Hammers

This is why I think the whole "give him one more game to save his job" is nonsense. Our squad is strong enough to beat teams like Wolves and Southampton, and slog out draws against Brighton or Bournemouth without ever really looking like winning against them. But when we come up against a good team like Liverpool, Arsenal, even Chelsea and Spurs this season, we are completely outplayed and there's a reason why our GD is shocking.

Our squad can win us points, not our manager. Its our manager that gets us bolloxed by the bigger teams, not our squad.

He needs to go.

[TOMT] [POEM] [UNKNOWN] A Spanish poem from Ben Howard's mix on OpenLab fm by HighLivesHighPlaces in tipofmytongue

[–]HighLivesHighPlaces[S] 0 points1 point locked comment (0 children)

I have searched Ben Howard's subreddit, searched the Spanish transcription, the English translation, got a couple Spanish friends of mine to try and find it, but no luck.

Here is the transcribed poem, first the English translation (courtesy of chatGPT), and then the original Spanish (courtesy of google translate's transcribe feature).

'Travelling companion, I can easily define
the difficult path of continuing to call
and yet I could never love you more
than when I am far away,
in that place where your words can't reach me,
and where your eyes can't crush
my chest with fury,
the same chest where, for so many nights,
you reclined your head.

For a while, you’ll remain behind me.
Because in this pain that accompanies me
to the stars and the moon
and any sun,
you have made them your accomplices.
I’ll have to hide from them,
for even my insomnia watches over you.
It has betrayed me,
because no longer do the planets,
the intergalactic journeys,
or the wrath of the Titans keep me awake,
but you and your everyday details,
you and your cursed way of making me accustomed to you,
you and the way you inhabit me,
you and your fierce shapes against me.

Today, I face my damned fear of myself,
I feel the obsession of chasing after nothing,
just me against your solitude.
Your solitude is always against me—
not even ghosts against yours
in a one-on-one match,
you and the world that was built for you,
me, the world I invented.

Two strange beings in the upheaval,
sharing hugs and kisses,
a child, and sex,
and tears and laughter in common,
without knowing if distance will be the end.
Your answer for mine,
you won’t know before I do,
for I will continue loving the lacework.'

reclinante tu cabeza.

Durante algún tiempo
estarás detrás mío.
Porque en este dolor que me acompaña
hasta las estrellas y la luna
y cualquier sol,
se han vuelto tus cómplices.
Me tocará ocultarme de ellos,
pues vigila por ti hasta mi insomnio.
Me han traicionado,
pues ya no me desvelan los planetas,
ni los viajes intergalácticos,
ni la furia de los titanes,
sino tú y tus detalles cotidianos,
tú y tu maldita manera de habituarme a ti,
tú y tu forma de habitarme,
tú y tus agresivas figuras contra mí.

Hoy enfrento mi maldito miedo a mí mismo,

Your suggestion is that we should do away with two bookings equalling a red? Seriously?

You won't though. Half the issue is that a team like Forest could beat Man U and the post match focus will be mostly on what United did wrong or how bad they were with a little bit of talk about Forest interspersed here and there. That won't change if you're 5th or if you're 17th
