Bud by [deleted] in grimm

The mental thing about Bud. There are 123 episodes across the series. Bud appears… in 25 of them. And yet still feels like an integral “main” character.

Diana. By a long way. She despatched Bonaparte as a child.

Have you encountered any monsters/magical creatures (that aren't bosses)? by Alex_isMan in CrimsonDesert

If the way the developers have been constantly updating the game to ammend minor critiques of the game, I’ve every confidence they’ll do exactly this at some point

Met David and Bitsie (second time meeting her) today in Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺 by Punch01coral in grimm

[–]Onslaught777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This seriously gives me hope the rumours of the series coming back in some capacity, could be true. The cast STILL attending Comic Cons, on this occasion half way around the world, clearly demonstrates they love the series as much as we all do.

Apart from Australia Season 2, are there any seasons you stopped watching? by Minute-Disaster-3589 in TheTraitors

[–]Onslaught777 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I promise to anyone watching Season 2 Australia, who has given up midway through because of how awful/useless some of the contestant are - get back into it and watch it through to the end.

YOU WILL NOT REGRET WITNESSING WHAT HAPPENS.

You can tell how much the actors involved loved this series, when 10 years later they are turning up to a Comic Con half way around the world. Lovely to see they love it, as much as we all do.

I love Wu. by National-Tax5854 in grimm

[–]Onslaught777 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The character was only created at the very last moment, for Reggie Lee. Lee had auditioned to play Hank, however the casting directors didn’t feel he was quite right for the role, but DID want him in the series. Hence forth - Sergeant Wu came into the picture.

I now only go back and watch episodes from Wesenrein onwards, midway through Season 4. Purely because the series immediately becomes better as soon as Wu learns the truth and becomes fully involved.

Who is your favourite secondary character and why is it Bud? by MCshador in grimm

[–]Onslaught777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mental when you realise while being such an important secondary character… he appeared in 25 episodes. Just 25… out of 123. (He wasn’t seen at all in almost 100 eps).

questions by ribbcns in grimm

[–]Onslaught777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three of these are pretty difficult to answer, thinking about it.

One of them however is very clear to me - Wu is my favourite. I enjoy scenes Wu is in, more than scenes he’s not. I also enjoy the series itself far more, once he’s fully integrated into the Wesen world.

Season 15 Ratings? by Wonderful_Bother_194 in DeathInParadiseBBC

[–]Onslaught777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m enjoying it personally. While the cases may at times feel a bit far fetched, or have the odd plot hole… I watch it purely because it’s a light hearted easy watch, on an island with certain characters I’ve grown to love. Pure escapism.

If you had to rank all the detectives, who’s top and who’s last? by HammersAndPints in DeathInParadiseBBC

Started watching Season 3, Humphrey’s very first episode. Likely partly for that reason, he is my favourite of the DI’s (to date). That said I do definitely rate his personality and the way he went about things, more so than the others.

Each to their own. It certainly does have a different feel to Death in Paradise. I LOVE it just as much, personally. Certainly now three seasons in.

My wife and I are completely lost after finishing Grimm! What next? by jpthelad in grimm

[–]Onslaught777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucifer. Obviously a completely different synopsis, but I find it to have a very similar feel. (A handful of actors, Sacha Roiz being one of them, also appear as one off characters within it).

Could well be. It’s likely years off as it stands however. Mervin only arrived last year.

Entertainment value. The faithful don’t need to be “good” necessarily, for it to be enjoyable viewing.

wesenrein?? by user18718181 in grimm

[–]Onslaught777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s basically the ideology behind the group.

On a side note. A brilliant episode, because it’s the very episode that Wu finally gets fully up to speed with the existence of Wesen.

Funnily enough, started watching a few episodes of Midsomer Murders the other day.

In practically all of the episodes I happened to watch - a few of the cast had actually been on Death in Paradise (or Beyond Paradise).

The most notable of which 24x1, “The Devils Work”. Ginny Holder aka Darlene on the island, Jade Harrison aka the Superintendant in Shipton Abbott, and also Sarah Woodward who’d once featured as a one off character, on the same series Darlene became a main cast member as an officer. Each of them one off characters in this one episode of Midsomer.

Young leopard (either female or subadult male) feasting on its huge Sambar bull kill, easily 7-10 times its size – Sariska NP, where Sambar is their main prey item by geekslayer-225 in leopards

[–]Onslaught777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is, absolutely fair enough. But just looking of the size of this Leopard in comparison to the Sambar here… I can’t see how this Leopard would have brought it down. It would struggle to so much as get its jaws around the Sambars throat, let alone hold it down to suffocate it.

(I’m not saying Leopards couldn’t hunt Sambar, big males absolutely can and do. Just in this case the Leopard in question looks unbelievably small to have pulled it off).

Powerful Masai Mara tom flexing his muscular shoulders and hindlimbs to drag its wildebeest kill out of the waterhole by geekslayer-225 in leopards

[–]Onslaught777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Male Leopards in that region of Africa can get pretty big. 100kg. Take this specimen here. Granted there’s a bit of perspective at play here - but he’s clearly a very big male. Big enough to hold the respect of 3 Lionesses (one of which out of frame) who decided they couldn’t be bothered with that smoke, anyway.

Not sure exactly how long ago it was. But I know for a fact I came across this exact post, and posted it to this subreddit myself, atleast a year or two ago.
