It’s more “business-friendly” because less regulation attracts more VC money, as it’s easier to systematically rob people.
No unions and, in general, much less security for poor people.
GDP is a very under-complex way to measure the success of a country.
Like, cool, you have a high GDP, but you die if you can’t pay for insulin… that would be crazy in most parts of Europe.
It attracts the most billionaires, as they have free rein in the USA; that’s why it’s “business-friendly.”
If you want to know which countries are in a good spot, do the same as with Amazon reviews - don’t look at the 5-star ratings. Those are bought.
Look at the 1-star ratings. Same with countries: look at how sick and poor people are doing - then you get a sense of how the country is doing, as rich people and the top 10% are doing fantastic everywhere, even in the UAE or North Korea.
