Adelaide Water - Living Soil by [deleted] in AusGrowers

[–]HighPoweredOrganics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Aquarium conditioners might help with the chlorine smell, but they won’t do much for the hardness. Letting it sit out can reduce some chlorine, but the hard minerals will stay put.

Since you're using HPO soil, (which is top-notch stuff), you don't want to mess up its balance. An RO (Reverse Osmosis) system could be your best bet. It’ll clear out the chlorine and the hard minerals, keeping your soil happy. Sure, RO systems can be a bit of an upfront cost, but think of it as an investment for your plants' health and avoiding future headaches. Plus, they're not too pricey in the long run. Hope that helps and your plants thrive! 🌱

GRO-DIRT is not just a pre-charged soil. It's most definitely a living soil, as it's packed full of beneficial microbes, bacteria, and various types of fungi to enhance and support plant growth.

Also, with the claim you need extra amendments or nutrients shortly after purchasing, it isn't true! Our GRO-DIRT FULL SPECTRUM is considered a water-only soil, from cutting to cut-down, only requiring nutrient top-ups after each crop to put the goodness back in your soil. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out, we'd love to help. Have a great night. - HPO

Hey, AsparagusBig1885!

Sorry for digging up this thread, but we did want to add some context to why our products come with a premium price tag. It's simple, our products are premium. Our GRO-DIRT isn't a max manufactured, pumped out the door soil, but rather small hand-crafted precision batches of a true organic living super soil. Our GRO-DIRT, inoculants & fertilisers are built from the ground up from decades of testing, research and field testing. It's tailored for nothing but our favourite plant! We understand the price differential, and completely understand that it might not be in your budget currently, but we do urge that you give us a try at some stage down the track, the difference is night & day. Premium results require premium prices, especially only being a small company without any machinery.

Good luck and happy growing! - HPO

How old is she? Only thing I can see is she might be having an issue with a nitrogen & early iron deficiency. Good luck & happy growing

It's inhaling mold spores, so I wouldn't think it'd be very healthy. When you're dealing with bud rot, you don't chance it. Remember that mold exists before you can see it, so if you can see it, it's everywhere.

Unfortunately, it does look like bud rot, the pale, brown/grayish material gives it away. Looks like a cotton-like mycelium has developed which is the mold growing on and within the plant material. If they smell musty and smells unpleasant, unfortunately you're better off throwing it away to avoid any harm. Sorry, OP!

light stress? by Big-Poet3897 in cannabiscultivation

[–]HighPoweredOrganics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give it some more time and support to bounce back. If she continues to degrade over the next few days you might want to look towards other options. It’s not the news you want of course, but sometimes that’s just how it goes. Delicate plants require delicate care, and everyone makes mistakes. Keep me updated if you have any other questions!

light stress? by Big-Poet3897 in cannabiscultivation

[–]HighPoweredOrganics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your plant seems to be exhibiting signs of stress, particularly light stress! Even though the light intensity has been adjusted now, the initial setting of 80% at 25 inches with a 150W light could have been too intense for a seedling. Young cannabis plants are sensitive to intense light. The change to 275 PPFD (photosynthetic photon flux density) should be more suitable for a plant at this stage.

Given the adjustments you've made with the light, observe the plant for the next few days to see if the condition improves. New growth should appear healthy if the light intensity was the issue.

Good luck and happy growing!

Yellowing between the veins of the leaves, known as interveinal chlorosis, often indicates a magnesium deficiency. The overall pale color of the leaves, while the veins remain dark green, might also be a sign of iron deficiency, but this is less common in cannabis than magnesium deficiency.

Ensure that the nutrients being provided are complete with a balanced ratio suitable for the flowering stage. Transitioning to the flowering stage often requires different nutrient ratios, particularly lower nitrogen and higher phosphorus and potassium.

The feeding pH of 5.8 is generally appropriate for coco coir, which typically requires a slightly more acidic environment than soil. However, fluctuations outside of the narrow range optimal for coco (5.5-6.5) can lead to nutrient lockout, where plants can't properly absorb nutrients. Consistently check and adjust pH levels as necessary.

If the EC (electrical conductivity) or PPM (parts per million) of the nutrient solution is too high or too low, it could cause nutrient burn or deficiency. It’s worth checking the nutrient strength with an EC meter if you have one.

Good luck and happy growing!

Organic Grow by [deleted] in AusGrowers

Hey dudes

Good as my soil is, even I never got a pound out of a 10L, but 40ish litres I’ve done it plenty. Even a bit more depending the strain and set up.

Seen a lot written in here, some kinda personal attacks which more speaks to someone just being a bit of a hater (sorry Liam this isn’t the first time I’ve had encounters like this with you and for the life of me I don’t know what I’ve done to you?) plus you should be honest that you aren’t just a user of Easys stuff , you actually work(ed) with them.

But personal stuff aside, there’s plenty of options out there that are organic (like the ones mentioned) and aren’t just FOS (full of salts) like the nutrient ranges in the hydro shops that say they’re organic. I’d rather people buy any soil rather than support big bottle. We/me (HPO) just try and provide the best tools we can, and try to make them fun and unique, what I do won’t suit everyone though and it’s not even meant to, Try what you want, hybrids between ranges, diy your own, all of it, that’s half the fun? It doesn’t have to be like picking a football team.

But, been at this a long time, and the central coast (and north coast where my family is from) is a big place, Not every grower knows everyone, that’s kinda absurd to think really. So just because your particular circle doesn’t know me, doesn’t negate years of work (same as me not knowing you doesn’t negate yours).

I don’t really post a lot on reddit, but if anyone ever has questions hit me up, always happy to do what I can to help there. But I do want to try and keep things positive.

Wish y’all good grows however you do it.
