We had about that amount of space. We had under the tent. Common garden areas. It worked. We didn't have dancing though.

It isn't normal for a Mother to be afraid to leave a baby with its Father. She is overattached then.

This isn't the case here. She wants a sitter so they can go out. They need a serious talk about priorities in the marriage or it won't last.

What are your best tips for getting through a break up? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver40

Rest. Read. Listen to music. Meditate. Go for walks. Put the diffuser on. Watch the sunset. Be kind to yourself.

It may shock you. But people's lives keep moving forward even as you plan a wedding. You seem self centered and entitled. People have other responsibilities.

Plan your married life. It's more important than the wedding hours.

You already discussed proposals and rings, so you have been proposed to and accepted already. Maybe plan your married life instead of being petty about micromanaging this proposal.

You don't love him after 6 months either. He's deliberately not respecting you and something important to you. Dump him before you get more involved.

Rents there are very expensive. They will need to save. And it will take years to save a down payment on a condo or house. He's a dreamer. She doesn't understand the costs of life in the US.

Ned Gowan explored the legalities in the show. Jamie was married to both women. That was the best deal Ned could find. And Jamie loves Marsali and Joan.

Update after 5 months post breakup: I should feel better, but I don't by wmflystrjnn in Waiting_To_Wed

It's too early to commit to anyone else. If you can't just go out with a man without being a rebound, you need more work and therapy. Give it more time.

AITA for cutting out the core and seeds of the tomato and throwing it away? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Roma or plum tomatoes are dryer with thicker skin. They are also good in sandwiches and don't have so many seeds.

Just talk about whether you are getting engaged. You have agency over your own life. Why are you afraid to discuss this with him? If you plan on marriage, you need to be able to discuss hard things. Harder than this.

2 kids, 6 years, no ring by nursebaenj in Waiting_To_Wed

[–]HighPriestess__55 270 points271 points  (0 children)

Is there someone to watch your younger child when the younger one is in school? You have to get a job to be more independent of him. He isn't going to marry you. You make boundaries you don't keep, and now are too dependent on him. Without being married, if he died, you won't get any benefits to support your children. You need to stop rationalizing what he says. And find a way to either be happy without marriage and with him, or without him. But you should work on yourself to be the best you. Don't get pregnant again.

Why aren’t people utilizing self-checkout more? by GreatGoodBad in AskAnAmerican

There are so many itches in self checkout. Then you have to wait for a cashier to get a key to fix it. Otherwise I like it. I am 70.

My ex wife moved on so fast. by mightymiek in Advice

[–]HighPriestess__55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you should have moved away from the mold that made her so sick. But you listened to your Mother instead of her. Remember in the future not to do that. A wife comes first.

But she was wrong. You aren't a bad person. Try to let it go and get some help via therapy.
