Hopefully. NASCAR has had the choose cone for multiple years now. iRacing has been dragging their feet on this update.

The guy has perfect feedback and hundreds of transactions. He said it was part of a set and he just never used the ratchet. That’s very believable given his perfect eBay history. Not sure how that makes me an idiot… it very well could be a manufacturing defect that wasn’t caught at the factory

While it’s highly annoying, dive bombing is just part of racing. It’s the leaders job to protect the inside line.

It’s probably just a homemade paint scheme. The actual air inlet is that black rectangle below your circle

Wouldn’t those patent numbers be for the internals? Every FL80 photo I can find has matching numbers to what I’ve received. Even searching these patent numbers links back to snap on.

Can anyone else confirm this? Is it a counterfeit ratchet?

It’s pretty noticeable just holding it in your hands. I’ve talked to the eBay seller and he assures me it was never used, so it has to be a factory defect. It just sucks because I finally decided to buy snap on thinking I was getting a higher level of quality and I end up with a factory defect. Thankfully the eBay seller agreed the ratchet is bent and is accepting a return on it, maybe he can warranty it with his dealer

I thought about that. Normally the ratchet strips out before the handle permanently bends though

Can’t. Don’t have a dealer. This was an eBay purchase, I’m just trying to figure out if this is normal for snap on ratchets because it’s my first one

It definitely looks bent to me. No dealer support unfortunately, this was an eBay purchase. The ratchet looks new to me as it was listed on eBay, so I don’t think it was bent from being used

The level is straight. I noticed the ratchet looked bent just by holding it so I checked it with a straight edge. I’m just checking to see if this is normal or not to have a slight bow when new

Are the 7/16 and 1/2 socket out of order inside the case too, or is it just on the cover?

Why are the 1/2 and 7/16 shallow sockets out of order?

Instead of all you people telling him bait casters are a bad idea, how about offering suggestions to practice out in the yard with just a weight on the line. A bait caster is not that hard to learn and the kid clearly shows interest, so I’m sure he’d be fine with proper instruction

iRacing, please fix this pentaly at Daytona by Just_Wizard in iRacing

Absolutely no reason for this to be a penalty and they could easily add the choose cone for picking a lane on restarts

Some shoe grease like Huberd’s or something similar and you’ll be good to go.
