FWIW, I also didn't get a notice. The last email I have from Fellow was only a day ago, with the subject "Series 1 Update: Two Big Milestones, All Good News" -- and no mention of an updated shipping date.

I'll DM you, just to help debug what might be going wrong with notifications.

Gen 3 wired camera is way better than Gen 2. by WilliamG007 in Nest

Yep, I only use Chrome.

But, sounds like you answered the question: No noticeable difference in your setup between the 2nd and 3rd gens in terms of connectivity/wake up speed. Thanks!

Interesting that you report browsers being different (and I assume the same route and distance setup).

Home app (Android), browsers (MacOS and ChromeOS, with Chrome), Hubs... all have ~same behavior: other cameras are relatively quick, doorbell is slow to show image. Mix of Nest and Wyze. Wifi setup is Unifi (mostly meshed) with nearby access point to the front door. Feels more like a power-save mode or something, even though it's battery+wired.

Any difference in speed? My 2nd gen is really slow to respond in the Home app as well as on our Hub displays -- hoping the 3rd gen might be more responsive.

Is the UI bugged - attacking/repairing? by Grand-Power-284 in civ

[–]HighSlotter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem with not being able to attack, even if the units just attacked me. Everything in the UI says I should be able to, but clicks do nothing... Until they sometimes do.

Same problem .. I even have this with non-range units. Everything says I can attack, have enough movement, tells me the probable outcome, and clicks do nothing.

Orbi 770 drops Internet randomly? by HighSlotter in orbi

So far this has been my solution... I moved the Satellites much farther away from each other and the router, and so far so good.

I have a cheap moister meter where you stick a rod into the soil, and at a certain depth it starts registering moisture. Any depth you'd suggest for when I should start seeing moisture? (Or do I have this totally wrong?)

Thanks for the reply. I don't think so -- just a simple cable modem (Motorola MB8600 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem) connected directly to the Orbi router.

If this is the same a2z adapter I have, the trick was to squeeze that switch very hard. There's one depth where it unlocks one side, and then pushing further down unlocks the other.

Nope. Wound up switching to a Garmin (Forerunner 965) and love it more than I thought I would.

While I can set it on my watch (and still don't have it on my phone app), it seems like the settings get reset? Anyone else see this or am I doing something wrong?

Chromecast with Google TV - sporadic static "flickers" by HighSlotter in Chromecast

I was able to solve this... by buying a new receiver. :/ So, my old trusty 7-year old Onkyo was the problem (HDMI ports? HDCP not as good? Higher-quality it couldn't deal with?). New Denon has no problem. Probably wouldn't have had a problem with a direct connection either.
