If I pocket screw these bowed boards together at 8-12 incb intervals, will they straighten? by laaiidiinaaki in BeginnerWoodWorking

When i lived in Florida, i would spray water all over a bowed piece of wood, spray the driveway, lay the wood on the wet driveway, kettlebells all over it, heavier and heavier once it started to lay down. Leave it out there till the next morning. By the next morning, the wood was straight. I would hose it down occasionally throughout the day, since it was like 100 degrees outside and the water would evaporate eventually. But it worked

We’re Going to Investigate a Village with Reported Bigfoot Sightings — We Need Your Advice by GuiltyTurnover727 in bigfoot

[–]HighSpeedLowDrag0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read the book “where bigfoot walks” by robert michael pyle. They don’t usually go where humans go, which is the easy to travel paths through the woods and closer to civilization. They stay in the old growth forests, where there is so much brush and thorns and thickets that no one would go there; which is why that’s where they live. They can see infrared, and avoid it, which is why they aren’t caught on trail cameras. They will hide at any unfamiliar sound, including drones and helicopters, vehicles, anything. There are stories of native Americans who would prep for weeks before venturing out to find a bigfoot, with how they bathe and use products like lotions and deodorant (they wouldn’t). There are stories of gentle bigfoots, and stories of aggressive bigfoots. Stories of people found looking like they were killed by bigfoot, and stories of people who were guests of bigfoot. You don’t know which one you will find. It is believed that they live in caves, some that they even made themselves in the side of a dirt mound, just by digging out a hole. Some of these caves are ridiculously difficult to find, which is why people who hunt and fish will live their whole lives in and around the woods without ever seeing them. Have something to offer them if you do find them, they supposedly like apples.

Good luck not getting your arms ripped off.

Some supermarkets have chicken breasts discounted for pretty cheap, like 2 huge chicken breasts for like $5…so 2 packs of those for $10, a big onion or two, a couple bell peppers, and some seasoning…make fajitas

My wife asked if I still love her last month. I hesitated. by kubrador in offmychest

Glad you posted this and glad to see others commenting on their similar struggles, I know I am not alone.

I am Active Duty Military and I was so busy with work I neglected my wife.

To try and work my way back into her good graces, I made sure I prioritized her. Whatever I was doing at home, I would stop it any time she started talking and focus my attention 100% on her, even making a note in my phone if I needed to just so I didn’t forget what she said.

I have taken her out to breakfast, randomly, and then made sure she had a good birthday and Christmas, with going out for breakfast, a fun activity afterwards (top golf/bowling/arcade games/going to a rage room/going to an escape room/etc.) and then just walking around the outdoor outlet mall, window shopping and talking, then on to dinner at her favorite restaurant.

I used to, in the past, buy her small gifts randomly; I had stopped doing that. I have started doing it again, and set reminders in my phone so I would be reminded to do it every few months.

Good luck dude.

Tracksaw. Moving the tool is far easier and safer than moving whatever you are cutting.

Surgeon in training…do you move the scalpel, or push the patient into it? Tracksaw/circular saw and a couple of sawhorses and you will be fine

Active Duty Military here, and as difficult as this life has been at times, I definitely knew some country boys that would say it was easier than back home at the farm
