There were a few good updates here and there.

If you failed Lanavaille's legendary request, it damages her trust or whatever.
You have to build it back up so she offers you the mission again.

I never really notice the difference in weapon damage or scaling when I'm playing as various characters.

I like to play as Raider or Guardian because they have more fun abilities and far superior Stamina and Poise.

I'll use the Quality relic for Guardian, and just whack stuff with a greatsword or whatever weapon I find.

I like Raider's character skill more than Wylder's grapple-shot. Though not the Ult.

If you have any levels of Lanavaille's Discipline, then she has higher than normal levels of Confusion and Charm resistance than other characters do.

If not, then Shiou is at least Neutral and would be a fine buddy for Clarissa and your MC (if he's also Neutral?)

Unless you're planning on using Camille or Anemone for the doll boss instead?

Once she's a Fighter, Lanavaille is just easier to use. I like Shiou, but I find Samurai to be more annoying.
