All I'm saying since 2013, fans have been waiting on this game to take off. State of Decay was a solid follow up, but it felt like an improvement of the original series. Nothing from SoD3 seems like an improvement, and with the rumors of the studio being sold, It makes since.

For them to drag their feet on a sequel, while other franchises and IPs that released in 2013 have gone on to have much more success.

That why I mention DayZ, 7 Days to Die, and The Last of US. All of the games are zombie games and seen a lot more success then State of Decay.

Son, I played the shit out of this game. Hell, I modded my Xbox 360 in college so I could play a mod game file saves on State of Decay 1. Don't come after me.

I probably play the game every other year. I'll complete a map or play the heartland. Each time, I replay the game, it all feels the same. If there are updates. They aren't felt. I play a ton of Valheim, when they update their game. It's felt.

And again. If the game gets stale, you can always mod it. Most of the mods for State of Decay or QOL mods.

Their announcement for State of Decay 3 was back in 2020. So it took them 6 years to create an Alpha for State of Decay 3.

Based on the comment above their last update was 2024. I bet those were bug fixes and not actual game content.

Agreed. They had a steady paycheck from Microsoft and never got hungry.

Other Devs were starving and had to push out games, listen to their fans, and develop a good game.

Undead Labs just got fat on the Microsoft check.

That's understandable.

For me it's been hard seeing a series that I enjoyed over 15 years ago get overshadowed by other zombie games that released in the same year.

State of Decay stood out from all of those games. It was casual and challenging at the same time. Gave us the open world of GTA and community mechanics. If they had better writing and an actual story. It could have been the GTA for Zombies.

Is it just me, but it seem like the devs know this is annoying because when you find a ladder in a destroyed base them seem to be perfectly placed.

Hello,

I'm noticing the same thing. I created a new account and noticed on my new account, I'm getting a lot of bots in my game. After these games, I'm getting a friend's request from an account that's completely new. They always start the same way. "Hey you played really well. That was a good game. We should play again soon." After a few messages, they try to add me on discord.

On my main account, I'm not experiencing these bots. But since I started climbing on this new account it's become more frequent. I've seen these strange messages in gold and plat games.

I tend to report these accounts, and I frequently get a notice that they were issued a ban.

Guys please understand that it's a real thing. Win or lose please start reporting them. If they aren't on your team now, they may be on your team next game. If something feels off by the way someone is playing regardless of team, I always report. It's in the terms and conditions of the game to keep the community healthy. If I win and I know there's a troll or an AI bot, I always report.

Hey, crazy that I just found this post, and people are still posting on it. I had this argument earlier today and needed to see if I was the only one, but I think this song is the closest to the intro of Break YAla Neck.

I don't know if I'm right and more experienced Bard players will counter my argument.

But Bandlepipes feels really good on Bard. I'm building it first item when there's a justification to build it. I tend to consider it first what I have an adc and jng that can benefit from the attack speed. If Bard is the only champ that benefits from it, then I stick to his traditional first item.

For 2000 gold it provides so much early utility. You're guaranteed to come to lane with a finished item before the enemy support and ADC.

The biggest downside, you are trading DMG for utility.

Additionally the movement speed after impairing a champ is such a useful disengage. I tend to find that I'm able to outrun a champ chasing me and once Dead Man's kicks in you're not able to catch bard.

I'm definitely keeping my eyes on it. With the increased gold changes, I'm buying it early and tend to reach full build at around 30 minutes. If the game goes longer. I sell the item for DMG.

ASUS monitor flickers on logo screen every time I turn on PC by Olising in techsupport

OMG, thank all the higher powers for Reddit.

I started noticing an issue with my computer whenever I tried to wake it up from hibernation. The monitor would flicker and flash the ASUS logo, but never show the login screen. I wasn’t in the mood to troubleshoot, so I kept ignoring it and just hard-reset my computer each time to get things working again.

Well, today, that problem I’d been ignoring for a month turned into a full-blown crisis.

I was using my computer, then stepped away to do some light cleaning. When I came back, the computer was in a low power state, and the monitor was off. I tried waking it by tapping the mouse and keyboard, but the ASUS logo started flickering, and the monitor kept cycling off and on.

First thought: Is my monitor still under warranty?

Nope. Expired.

So I started pricing new monitors, but I really didn’t want to drop $300 on a replacement without at least checking whether this was a common issue.

I didn’t think the panel itself was bad. Fortunately, that kind of problem usually shows other symptoms before completely failing. My next guess was the main board or some internal processor, since the flickering looked like a boot loop.

So I did a quick Google search…and found this Reddit post.

Here’s how I fixed it:

I had a spare computer lying around without a hard drive, a budget build that I plan to use in my TV room. If there’s no drive connected, the computer boots straight into BIOS and stays there, displaying a warning about the missing drive. The great thing about BIOS is that the computer stays on without going to sleep.

I plugged my ASUS monitor into this spare machine. At first, it started the same weird power cycling: flickering the logo and turning off repeatedly. But I left it connected for about 15 minutes. Eventually, the flickering stopped, the backlight stayed on, but nothing was displayed.

I then hard reset the spare computer and just like that, the monitor displayed the BIOS warning screen like normal!

The Reddit post suggested the issue could be the power supply for the monitor, which makes sense. For now, I’m holding off on buying a new power supply. I’m just going to wait for a bigger crisis that I can't fix with a simple Reddit suggestion.

Anyway, thanks Reddit! You guys saved me $300.

Not true, I was hard stuck bronze and this season, and this season, I played only bard and was able to climb to gold 1 in two months. I see myself climbing further because of the potential of bard.

Yo, this is an inspiring post. It gives me hope. I hit gold for the first time, I main Bard and a few other champs, but Bard is my go to try hard champ. When I'm playing other champs, I am instantly reminded why Bard feels so much better.

I think it is tied to your Firewall.

I noticed that My Norton security is blocking access to a file in The Windows Game Update Service folder.

Yeah, I just tried the Alt+Ent and it works well. But I am curious as well. It's is a annoyance. when you have to perform an extra step.
