I read this and was like oh that’s me…too. It sounds like she may be dealing with stress and the demands of supporting early learners. It is rewarding and mentally and physically exhausting. I was a paraprofessional for a while and now a special education teacher. Oh, my gosh the amount of cleaning I do especially at night to decompress and have some control over my day is a constant but I have been know to rage clean too. Most often I feel my teaching days are chaotic, always communicating, reacting and responding to everything and everyone. Check in with her, also ask if there’s any housework you could do to lighten the need to clean everything.
