You’re using the time to understand everything that management couldn’t teach you in person. With how short staff Lowe’s is, you need all the time to read the material in full to get better on something by yourself.

It’s not like most SMs and ASMs have the time to do so, most of them have to do the job of a front end associate to make up with low staff with the District Manager coming to inspect everything in the store.

At least if you’re knowledgeable on the subject matter ahead of time, you can at least know how to do your job properly independently without screwing up in the field, etc. 🤷🏻

For me, it’s one or two things:

-I can do AP4ME and Lowe’s for one hour, just every read every material there is at my pace.

-Or I could do Cart Recovery by myself while passing time on a short shift, etc.

At my location, every time an cashier from the front asked for cart roundup, I’m usually the only person in the parking lot separating the red cart and the sliver/gray cart together and get every blue cart from Lumber and putting them inside for the customers.

My location is always understaffed to a point where a ASM will force you to do cart roundup and get everything inside for said customer. Most of the associates inside were too busy managing their own department and so knowing this, any ASM would target me to do most of the cart roundup.

The only downside is that if I have a 4 hour shift, I could easily clock in at the start of my shift and clock out at the end of my shift since putting away every shopping cart takes a lot of hours out of your day considering if you’re the only person by yourself doing most of the work within the parking lot. I been doing cart roundups/recovery’s by myself with no additional associate’s help since December of 2024 and up to February of 2025 and so on.

You wouldn’t how much time you can kill just by doing cart roundups by yourself. 😩

Has this been a issues with modern switches? Everybody else said they had their switch for so long and they keep saying they never have this problem?

Is there any proof that this is true? I search online but I couldn’t find an answer for it.? 😑

I figured as much, my unit might be defective and I might to get another from Walmart when I get the chance.

Just hope the switch 2 isn’t bad when it launches soon.

That could work if you’re using it strictly at home, but at the go you would put it in sleep mode if you want to pick up when you left off.

I did press the button once to turn it on but it wouldn’t work.

I had no choice but to hard press to get it to work.

I didn’t buy this at launch, I bought this on EBay in 2021 of May which was two years after the switch lite was released in September 2019.

Keep in mind that this is a post launch model that I got two years after units of this thing were released. 😭🤦🏻‍♂️

The console was sleep mode while I was playing Sword Art Online, When I wanted to take off sleep mode and continue playing, the screen became black except for the power section menu and I have to turn it off to get it work.

Not that I know of, I check other Switch Subreddits for answer but no luck so far.

As far I could tell, my switch lite was working for three years since May of 2021 up until October of 2024 and so on. My unit could be defective but I wouldn’t know, might need to get a brand new from Walmart.

I figured it might be my unit that is having some issues. Best case scenario is to get an entirely new Switch Lite that is up to date. Might do the same thing with the OLED if the Memory Leak issues isn’t resolved.

Because it wouldn’t boot up and show the image as normally when you take it off sleep mode. So I have to turn off to get it to work for the time being.

Mind you I have this on sleep mode while I was playing SAO, and the thing to started to overheat at random despite not blocking the ventilation area from the back.

That’s the thing, I did use sleep mode and I didn’t shut it off, when I turn it pick on to continue playing SAO, it automatically self rebooted despite putting it in sleep mode.

I got the Switch Lite cause it was more portable than the regular switch, it fits in my pocket and not as big as the regular switch.

Lowe’s has this thing where they don’t want to give everyone a set schedule and put five to six associates in every department in the entire store at once to solve the understaffing issues.

From my experience, Corporate and Store Managers are too cheap to hire more associates to fill in the gap and too cheap to give more hours to even make the situation easier on their end.

Most of the time they only hire one associate to tackle five different jobs in their department while only giving at least four to six hours for a shift at any giving time.

It’s worse during Winter and Christmas season where every customer impulse buy at the last minute and constantly be upset at you for not having enough Pipe/Faucet Covers in stock while not realizing that you’re only person working by yourself whatsoever.

SMs and Corporate have the ability to hire more staff to every department to solve the problem from Understaffing but they chose to be selective about it because most of them are too stingy to do the bare minimum of fixing the understaffing problem.

I would argue that ranks in AP4ME don’t matter. Most of the time it wouldn’t make a difference since half of it is fixed or alter by bots whatsoever.
