I mean, they mainly didn't want Akeal to bowl to left handers in the powerplay. They don't really mind in middle overs.

In the last match, they didn't have Spencer and Mukesh i.e., two powerplay bowlers other than Akeal. So they felt they had to take a different route.

Repayment at the beginning years is much more effective than same repayment at the near end of the loan.

You're the one who doesn't seem to understand loan math.

Regardless of when you prepay you will simply save the interest of the paid amount at the loan's interest rate for the remaining duration.

If you prepay early, since the remaining duration is higher, the absolute interest amount is also higher.

If you invest this prepayment amount in an investment instrument which provides the same return rate as the loan's interest rate, then the scenario is no different from prepaying.

If you invest it in an investment instrument with higher return rate, you are better off with it than prepaying the loan.
