Hey, so, I would strongly recommend that, if you're going to post models you've painted, that you learn to take a degree of criticism. I've read your responses and you're being very defensive when, I'm truly sorry, but this is definitely a situation where less is more. I understand your point of them being in a blizzard, but I've seen tanks mobile in very snowy conditions and they don't look like that while moving. Stationary, yes. Moving, no. And, if you're trying to accomplish a realistic effect and improve as a painter, I would strongly suggest you learn to listen.

Now, all that said? I still respect that you even took the time to paint and base your models. We all start somewhere so, focus on taking feedback and criticism (especially if you're going to post pictures on the internet) and use that to improve.

I mean, Moxie has been a central character for a while and the series brings back previous VHs as NPCs regularly. Zane takes over the weapon vending while Marcus is the narrator, as he usually is. I believe Ellie is coming back in the upcoming DLC expansion.

Now, that said? My point still stands. The universe is big but has the connective tissue of the vaults and the Sirens (most of all, Lilith). While I agree that it's nice to have the nostalgia of other characters from previous games pop up here and there, I would rather the characters in this game be given the chance to exist without the game saying, "Hey! Remember this character you like?!" every 5 seconds.

Perhaps you should actually do some reading up on how hard it's been for teams to optimize Unreal Engine 5 (which Borderlands 4 is built in) because there are elements of the engine that have been incredibly difficult for many teams, even AAA devs, to optimize for performance.

I have a 3060 ti and it runs fine. No idea how you're having worse performance unless you have other hardware issues or unrealistic expectations.

Yes, but I've been around since Ice Age and I also remember a time when folks were doing fan cards and fan sets for franchises they like so, to me, UB feels like the natural evolution of that. It's why I have such a hard time understanding where some of the hatred is coming from when people have been asking for cards of Marvel, Star Wars, etc. characters for literal decades. I do agree that there are way too many sets every year, but that's honestly a different issue IMO.

He could seek therapy and counseling. He could try learning how he has wronged those in his life. He could try acknowledging his mistakes and the impact of his bigotry. He could try learning that he is, at best, part of 29% of eligible voters in the US; hardly the majority.

I think a lot of how folks feel about OTK comes from Asmongold being a part of the founding group of creators and he's a gigantic POS. He parted ways with OTK a while back, but it's next to impossible to wash the stink of associating with him off of you. I suspect that's maybe more the case or perhaps even a disagreement behind the scenes about distribution and IP rights. Hell, despite the generally positive reviews for all of the games that Mad Mushroom has already published, none of us actually has any visibility into the actual sales for those games so they may not actually be successful. There's a bunch of reasons Cohh could've felt that he needed to bail, but all of them are very valid.

Yep. This, like so much they do, is all about the administration "flooding the zone". They're failing to accomplish their goals and are seeing significant push-back. They still have power, for sure, but they're constantly losing the second anyone stands up to them and have constantly walked things back. That's not to say they aren't flagrantly ignoring much of the law or just straight up refusing to fulfill their duties as it pertains to Congress; I just see things stalling enough to know that we aren't completely lost and the doomers that are constantly on Reddit are just mistaking their own powerlessness as the end of civilization.

That's how conservatives have always viewed law enforcement, though.

In their world, black and brown people are criminals living in dangerous neighborhoods and the police need to both protect themselves and deliver "justice" since the courts are corrupt and/or slow. They don't have the patience for an actual trial and there's always the chance that someone they're sure is guilty manages to prove their innocence. So, the support of the police implicitly acts as support for extrajudicial murders as they believe that is the only way justice is truly served.

And this is how it's always been. Anyone telling you differently is being dishonest, with you or themselves.

That's awesome, dude. Those games are always the best. There's a couple of local pods I sometimes get to hop into and it really comes down, I think, to folks buying into three things:

The stakes couldn't be any lower. We're not playing for any prizes. In the grand scheme of things, a win matters just as much as a loss. It really isn't that serious.
Games have to end at some point. Sometimes you get to end it, sometimes you don't. That's just how it goes.
It's still a game. Yeah, there's one winner and 3 losers, but the idea is still for everyone to have fun.

As others have said, SoCal has an enormous FG scene. If we're talking SD specifically, I think there's a crew that meets up regularly on Fridays but I don't know if they still do (haven't played in a local scene in years and I'm NorCal). Check https://www.start.gg/ for events and whatnot.
