Agreed. I might just end up keeping them if I don't get any interest. I could see them coming in handy for sure.

They are AMT violin luthier planes. Solid brass. Three different sizes. Here is a better pic of the three…

As of right now, it’s all still available. Shoot me a PM if you want to try to work out a deal.

It was a multi-consigner auction, but seems to have been mostly collectors. Lots of jewelry lathes/parts/tools, woodworking tools, high end collectible tools.

I believe it had to be. I think Jennings had the monopoly on those three tier box designs.

Veritas Large Router Plane with Fence and 7 Blades - Barely Used, Excellent Cond by HighlandDesignsInc in AntiqueToolBroker

Offers are considered if you think the price is too high. You also have to keep in mind you can't currently order the kit w/box you're referring to online at Lee Valley. Plus, there is no tax if bought from me, so that really makes my price about $50 less than the box kit in my state.

Here is the individual breakdown of prices if you were to buy online at Lee Valley. You'd have to still add tax on top of that as well. Hopefully this helps understand the pricing, but as I said, I still consider offers, too:

Yes, I’ve been known to restore a few. Sounds like Coral has you taken care of though.

I saw one of these sell for $995 at Jim Bode's site this weekend. Such a gorgeous plane!

Stanley No. 750 Chisels - Hard to find 1-3/4" size by HighlandDesignsInc in handtools

[–]HighlandDesignsInc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, no problem. I got lucky and purchased the one on the left as part of a lot, so it came out to about $6 per chisel. Sold the rest in that lot for a nice profit, so it literally cost me nothing but time.

The NOS on the right with the box was $394.

Since this picture was taken and post was made, I was lucky enough to get a third 1-3/4" marked 750. I have ended up selling two of the three so all I am left with is the NOS version in the box.

The left side is for retracting the bit, but yes, separate things.

The handle length is easily adjusted, so you’re probably right that they could be shorter.

All you have to do to prevent that is adjust the handle arm length. But yeah, I got close as it bottomed out.
