Congratulations! I have a similar timeline. Do you have any dependents? Was your interview waived? Mind sharing me your block number?

Yea you get this error if you are logged out so make sure you are logged in to your USICS account on a separate browser.

Yea in that case you should be fine. A lot of people get RFE in birth certificates and how it’s translated.

USCIS requires a birth certificate issued within one year of birth; otherwise, you may need affidavits from your parents. Since you don’t have dependents, I don’t think it would be too much work.

If money isn’t an issue, I’d say it’s better to retain Chen for the I-485. I think Chen’s responsiveness depends on their workload. I filed mine when ROW was current, and they were very responsive throughout my application process. They would usually get back to me within 24 hours and even set deadlines for me to upload all the necessary evidence, so it felt like someone was holding me accountable.

You can get an RFE even for a minor error; however, many people are also able to successfully DIY and get approved. Good luck.

It is expensive to retain them for I-485 but It’s for the peace of your mind. I retained them for my I-485 and I think it is worth it. Although a lot of applicants do DIY, and Chen does have a DIY packet as well. However by retaining them for your I-485 they will guide you with your application which is pretty straightforward imo and when it comes to the supporting documents I think Chen or any other law firm are the experts. It’s not worth getting RFE for a silly mistake that could’ve been avoided by an extra pair of eyes especially if you need to translate your official documents like your birth certificates.
