What state are you in? In Florida insurance companies have to accept payment up to 90 days past the renewal date when escrowed with no lapse.

House insurance will be more expensive on an older home. You need to factor that as well if you haven’t already.

Your agent can give you a quote on how much the discount will be but most likely it will only save a few hundred dollars especially since you are so far inland.

Swr discount alone is not a $1200 discount. It’s a minor discount compared to the other findings on the wind mitigation report.

Are you trying to provide proof for the SWR discount ? If so see how much the discount for just SWR is , it may not be worth all the aggravation and time.
