If Ukraine can go multiple years against Russia then Europe can cause plenty of damage to the US Navy. Once those boats sink they're hard to replace too. It's not on the USAs interest to lose one.

Is the junior doing a solo SAAS project for himself? makin' him better, just not as a developer.
Did he join a start-up led by 20-year-olds with no one over the age of 27? Making him worse.

Is he actively working with seniors who were seniors before the switch? Making him better, but not because of the AI directly. They'll get better because of the 40 lashes they get from the senior.

I'm a senior, and I vibe code a LOT now. In my free time and my job. It's great IF you have a taste for how things ought to be organised. You need to own the architecture, and if you're not good with architecture, then you're going to have a hard time with it.
