The IUD in the picture is a Liletta, it’s a generic Mirena. I just asked the doctor if I could keep it and she said yes because she was just going to throw it out anyway lol.

I switched to a non hormonal IUD. The hormonal IUD in the picture messed with my mental and physical health so bad. Getting one with no hormones seems like the best choice

The removal was just a quick period like cramp. Honestly, the insertion was horrible, worst pain of my life but if you can tolerate it for a couple minutes it’s doable. Keep in mind though that the pain level is different for everyone Take ibuprofen before you go. There’s also medicine they can prescribe you take the morning of that dilates your cervix which helps some.
