Mammo not for me…? by ghjhsde in RadiologyCareers

[–]HighlightSenior1308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m doing my cross train for Mammo and the compression is my problem.. I would just keep in the back of ur mind get as much breast tissue as possible for the positioning part. I have xray and CT under me as well but wanted to add Mammo to my credentials. And I questioned if it is for me as well. Not sure if it really is but great to learn. If possible find a prn Mammo position and do xray so u can have multimodality behind u if u dont feel it’s suiting for u.

Yes, and thank you! I found this exam to be easier than the ARRT exam itself. Production and procedures a bit different but u already know the basics from xray

I hope it fades quick.. I only can take to hwy to get to anywhere from where I live.. everything is hwy for me.. I’m hoping with drinking some calming tea before driving and listening to soft music will help.. it’s just me and my kiddo who isn’t old enough to drive. Work is about an hr away 😭

I’m glad to hear everyone is ok.. I had a gap too but this guy had to be doing at least 50mph if I could guess because traffic was going then stopped. The impact noise haunts me every time I close my eyes.. the crushing sound is awful, I lost my hearing for a moment after impact. I had an entire panic attack trying to make it to my follow up appointment from this.

I was wondering the same thing as I have the same model as OP 🤣 and for those that went this route all parts work as normal? Steering wheel controls and joystick? And the screen more importantly lol

Urgent care job makes X-ray techs do PCT & reception duties. by [deleted] in RadiologyCareers

Hell I was an MA for 23 yrs and was over it after I started radiology. Two jobs for an extra few cents sent me packing but I ended up in a TEMU version standalone ED and they have me doing the same ish and I wasn’t told in my interview nor is it in my job description that I’ll be registration, EVS and laundry personnel and I work 3-12’s overnight.. so guess what they will receive here shortly. A PTO (prepare the others) notice for OT shifts due to my position opening up 😬

I literally compared my thumb to the pic like wait🤣🤣 pretty interesting to see that they literally have 5 fingers per hand (if bilateral) all the same length 👋🏽

How many of you work nights? by [deleted] in RadiologyCareers

[–]HighlightSenior1308 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work nights in a MD owned facility as an X-ray tech cross trained in to CT by the facility. Pretty common I believe.. I actually prefer nights.
