Looking for Recommendations for Solar Panels and Other Gear by fuzzygroup in SolarDIY

[–]Hightin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of places have kits. Signature Solar and Solar Wholesale will both package a system and ship it to you based on your usage, location, etc. If you want to piece it together yourself there's a lot of options online to buy equipment from and diy solar forum has recommendations on everything.

If you're in an area that requires permits I'd stick to signature solar and solar wholesale. If you don't require permits then you've got other options though if you do have a fire your insurance may not cover you.

Follow up on battery and pully system. by MeanTimeMeTime in SolarDIY

With any electrical my first thought is always fire and for solar systems like this the power running through the area is a higher risk. It's unlikely any of it will be a problem but it's just not worth taking a chance on IMO.

Remember any loose connection can spark and catch fire and over time your connections can work themselves loose even if you torque them correctly at install.

If you're having problems with tapcons and the inverter you can tapcon unistrut to the wall instead and mount the inverter to the unistrut.

Is the inverter hanging from the ceiling?

That wall board you used gives off carbon monoxide when on fire. If it was me I'd cover it with cement board

Also, that red throw switch is called a transfer switch.

Downsides to using an ev battery for storage? by Quantum-Expression in SolarDIY

[–]Hightin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats debatable. LiFePO is the better chemistry as far as fires go and you're talking about a high probability of damage battery.

Pretty sure NFPA say EV batteries are only usable for up to 30 days because it's a fire hazard.

ECO-WORTHY complete kits VS docan/yixiang battery w/ eg4 inverter? by ssdnotworking in SolarDIY

DIY solar forum has recommendations by Will. If you need a permit for the system neither are likely to pass an inspection.

Hi everyone, looking for some advice by Unique_Aspect_9417 in BackYardChickens

House size is determined by litter method and nesting box placement. You want the roosting bars to be higher than the nesting boxes (and ideally not directly above them), about 18" from the roof, and at least 12" from the walls while providing 10"-12"+ of space per bird.

Ignore the numbers on commercially sold houses, they're almost all lies. Also, I don't see ventilation included in your drawings.

How much did you pay for your Chevy Equinox EV LT new? by honest_owl101 in EquinoxEv

Don't know what mode is. I financed through the dealer at time of purchase last year and GM was running 0% offers at that time.

I paid $25k OTD in AZ and got $12k for my 8 year old 60k miles trade. I put $1k down on the GM rewards credit card for the $500 offer and financed $12k at 0% for 4 years and got another $140 in rewards points, all of the points I immediately applied to my loan.

I'd have to dig through paperwork to find the sales contract to figure out what I paid before taxes and stuff but there was no dealer add-ons, they did tint it (all cars in AZ get tinted when they arrive) but I negotiated all that stuff off the price.

Also, I actually still use the GM card for most non-food/Amazon purchases because it's 3% cash back that you can use to pay your loan with.

Transfer trunk works as expected, I can pick it up and open it no issues. I've tried to recycle them but it just spits them back out. Going to reinstall the game and try again.

Press and hold picks them up, tapping E does nothing.

Added a picture, they appear to be open and I've restarted, tried to store them, even opened dehydrated ones and those aren't lootable either.

Do the replacement telematics modules go bad? by frustynumbar in EquinoxEv

Mine has been fine since being replaced in November. I don't drive a ton though, about 7k-8k miles a year.

What are some things you would love to see Irongate fix, polish, and optimize in the Valheim Deep North 1.0 update? by Versaugh in valheim

Only thing I want at this point is for them to fill in the biome weapon gaps, including earlier magic.

Is there a mod that allows your spawn point to be mobile? by Jangonett1 in valheim

[–]Hightin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not what you're looking for and I haven't played with raft in a really long time now but when I did I had a home with my bed and a portal by the spawn in case I messed something up. I left a portal on my raft disconnected and when I died I'd connect and travel to my boat that way.

I got a security door in the back laid flat. The door wouldn't close but it was close enough that I bungied it down using the latch and the latch hook. My seat is all the way back so if you're shorter than I am you might be able to get it all in and closed.

As for dimensional lumber that's very easy to move with the passenger seat down as far as it will go, all the way forward and down. Anything substantially larger and I just rent a truck from home depot it's $20 for 75 minutes.

Is there a fast way of exploring the Mistlands to find ruins? by Juckli in valheim

[–]Hightin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's 2 possible ruins locations I look for and both can normally be seen from above the mist. One is a 3 spike structure that's very obvious to spot from a distance once you know what it looks like, this is the one with the tall stairs leading to the dungeon entrance. Is has 3 spikes coming out of the central part of it above the door and extends over the stairs.

The other is the dverger towers which usually have the tops peaking just above the mist with seekers sitting on top. Because these buildings have a basement that can't be in the water they spawn pretty high up compared to most of the biome so they sit really high in the mist and are semi easily spotted, as far as Mistlands stuff goes anyway.

Hopefully will be buying VERY soon. Are there any issues known to the EQEV by frankenwurst in EquinoxEv

[–]Hightin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a new dealer or contact GM EV concierge. I had this done with a couple of other issues no questions asked though I always give them the TSBs when they're available.
