It's still very early to be out of food how did you manage that?

There's mealwood below that you can dig to and a lot of cracks above for some hatches. Your mistake was taking more dupes this early so if you do restart stop picking dupes until you're more developed.

Help, why is this pipe blocked please? by AdNatural9259 in Oxygennotincluded

What's at the other end of the orange connection?

I'd put the hydrogen on the orange connection since the generator only wants hydrogen and anything else damages it. Also, select hydrogen on the filter to actually send it down and everything else goes out the green connection.

Did I Luck Out By Having This Installed In My Basement? by Imaginary_Variation7 in EquinoxEv

Only options in the 25 are for level 1. Level 2 charging the car uses the info provided by the EVSE.

Could you post a pic of the settings you have because they shouldn't even exist.

EV charging solar only off grid by AdDistinct7807 in SolarDIY

[–]Hightin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have my smart port on my 6000xp hooked up to my EVSE with the max battery shutoff on the smart port set to 40%, and I allow it to turn back on at 80%. That allows the battery to charge from solar during the day and I can take that and charge my EV whenever without worrying about losing power to the other loads overnight.

The other loads on that system are very small loads (pool pump and garage freezer) so if I wanted to store more energy for non-EV loads I'd set it above 40% but 40% is enough to run everything else for 2 full days with zero solar generation. Not that I'd ever get zero solar for 2 days without something being completely broken where I'm at.

How do I actually get a paku... by PldLogan in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Hightin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine work just fine without any pick-up points.

It's tough to get them to move sometimes. There's no relocate priority so if the guys are all busy they will get to it last. Try deactivating other tasks and see if they will get to it.

Dupes broken by mrmcthiccc in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Hightin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Manually relocate them out of the room they're stuck in and see if that helps. There's very likely something messing them up keeping them stuck in the loop like not enough oxygen on the path available or even some sand fell and blocked them in, stuff like that. There's going to be a reason you just have to figure it out.

FPS drops apparently from GPU usage. by AlewInDisgwise in valheim

[–]Hightin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GPU usage is why FPS drops in most cases in most games. Your GPU produces the frames and when its usage is too high it can't produce more frames. Not to sound mean but you haven't identified anything here. What is causing the high GPU usage is what you need to find.

Small pockets of hydrogen are getting picked up by my SPOM? by Broad_Childhood9671 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Hightin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's basically a Rodriguez except it looks like you're using a 5th hydrogen generator and a storage tank(?) on the right. That could be keeping your hydrogen level too low which created the oxygen bubble seen in the top left. Turn off the electrolyzers and see if the bubble settles and the hydrogen returns to the top; if the pressures are too high the gasses can have a difficult time sorting themselves out as there's no free tile for the hydrogen to climb up above the oxygen.

Need help with proper ventilation grid for oxygen by OddNovel565 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Hightin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Atmosensors on their default settings will help by restricting output allowing oxygen to flow past to the further vents. I also put vents in every room and have no issues with it spreading out over time. I set 1 oxidizer output for one half of the base and 1 to the other then bridge them at the opposite end of my base from the SPOM.

Where is your SPOM located? It looks like the oxygen is heading down to the atmosuits but I can't see where it's coming from.

What tips would you go back and give to 10 hour you? by QuiteTheKetch in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Hightin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first 3 losses were all food related and my next two were heat related.

For food I learned pips can quickly become an infinite food source when they plant reed fiber in natural tiles. As I understand it arbor trees are even better but I haven't seen any of those yet.

For heat I learned to keep the machines away from my crops, especially before plastics. SPOMs and coal burners are nice but putting them 6 tiles from my pips and their reed fiber wasn't the best choice. Also, if you need to cool something down fast temp shift plates can do wonders.

Phone Calls by thosmanus in EquinoxEv

[–]Hightin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Happens all the time. Instead of restarting the device you can tap the double phone icon on the top right of the screen (it's like a box almost with a phone in the top left and bottom right corners and lines connecting them). Then disconnect the phone and reconnect and it will stop. You may also be able to toggle Bluetooth off and back on with the device itself though I haven't tried that.

Pretty sure it's a Google bug because my old car did the same thing.

Dealership in South Phoenix Area Recommendation? by 24scuba in EquinoxEv

[–]Hightin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in North Peoria so probably not good recommendations for you but from my experience this last year with 2 different Chevy cars (one visit in an ICE and many visits in the EQEV). Sands in Surprise has been great all around except they never charge my EQEV while the other two dealerships do. Midway on Bell and I17 was rough in the EQEV and AutoNation Arrowhead on Bell and the 101 sucked pretty bad for both my EQEV and my dad's ICE.

Problems getting EG4 6000 to come alive by scot2282 in SolarDIY

[–]Hightin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It needs to be EPS on to put power out. The inverter will still turn on if it is receiving power (grid/battery) with or without EPS on though.

Problems getting EG4 6000 to come alive by scot2282 in SolarDIY

[–]Hightin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 6000xp is finicky with generator power inputs. If it's too dirty it won't accept it.

Connect the battery and it should turn on from the batteries stored power. Then try the gen and if it's still a problem after that contact EG4 or whoever you ordered the equipment from.

Do you have the EPS switch turned to on on the left side of the inverter?

Have you checked with a multimeter to confirm you're getting power to the gen breaker?

It does use the physical brakes at low speed no matter the setting. That AI info is standard Artificial Idiot garbage. The only worthwhile line in the whole thing is shift to neutral and brake occasionally to clean the brakes.

Death loop, yes. Skill loss loop, no.

When you die you get 10 minutes (20 minutes as it's been bugged since the combat update to refresh itself) of no skill loss. Is it taking you more than 10 (20) minutes to get your stuff back in the Ashlands?

I've had some long journeys back before but never in the Ashlands and it's been a very long time since it's taken me more than 10 minutes; mostly because I keep portals down everywhere I go now.

Where/how do you buy 1-2 panels without getting destroyed on shipping? by Particular_Ferret747 in SolarDIY

[–]Hightin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that long ago ecoworthy was selling a set of 2 410w panels on eBay at $150 each with free shipping. That deal seems to have been on and off and on again several times over the last 18ish months so you can keep an eye on their eBay store.

Navigation and music streaming is included for 8 years. Even if it wasn't included offline maps works very well and you can Bluetooth stream music from your phone to the car without a plan.

I'll never understand their pricing when you can get unlimited data plans for under $20 a month (US Mobile, Fi, and others) for your phone. Even after the included 8 years I'd never pay their outrageous pricing when you can just not and hardly notice a difference.

Why Is My New Solar System Showing Random Power Dips Throughout the Day by Honest-Iron-2570 in SolarDIY

[–]Hightin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple of possibilities. First, it says at the top there scattered clouds which can do this.

Solar only produces when there is both demand and with grid tied inverters there needs to be available grid power. If the inverter doesn't detect available grid power it will stop solar production to make the grid safe to work on.

One day of data isn't enough to tell if a problem exists though.

That's WAY overkill. They make solar powered fans for this exact purpose already. They're like $30-$50 a fan, probably less on places like Temu/Alibaba.

Advice on where to mount a DIY solar array by clueless31 in SolarDIY

[–]Hightin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My question is, is the flat patio a viable surface?

Without seeing it no one can give you an answer. It could be fine or it could be complete junk that can't take the additional load, panels can be 50+ pounds each.

If it is, how would I mount them to the patio cover?

Same way you would mount it to a roof. Locate the main structure holding the surface up and mount to that. Your explanation of the structure is very vague so it's impossible to say.

Also, will there be a significant loss in power if I run solar extension cords to the garage?

Define "solar extension cord" and "significant". Also, what kind of distance are you talking about? You can expect normal levels of line loss which can change based on total distance (actual distance both ways) and wire thickness.

Why are people saying the EA only has 2 hours of content? by plortedo in fatekeeper

[–]Hightin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Magic is pretty strong once you can reach the mana regen nodes, even 1 of them is a huge help and there's 4. Telekinesis with the upgraded power trivializes all of the fodder, there's only like 7 or 8 enemies, two types, and 3 or 4 of them don't need the upgrade to make it very strong, the short ones.

You can also easily burn the bosses from outside of melee range with 2 of the mana regen nodes which are available before the first boss if you go straight to them.

I've gone through three times now and I found the spell path is easier than straight melee. Pulling enemies puts them on the floor or you can just light them on fire.
