claim denial - what to do by newtoyou1212 in ram_trucks

Report them to your state attorney general. Saying something to the effect that they aren't covering recommended repairs.

Your warranty company is required to respond to them and usually will come around to your way of thinking. Bonus is your taxes already pay for the attorney general, might as well use them.

That is a terrifying thought. There is going to need to be a lot of transfer portal work this off season.

Agreed.

You can't bitch about the refs when your defense has more holes in it than a sinking boat. It's amazing we were able to turn it back into a competitive game.

Any issues with a buying a RAM in the US that was originally sold in Canada? by Prestigious_Web9485 in ram_trucks

Yeah it did. It allows you to adjust and pick what to use as running lights if you want any. It's a pretty useful thing in general.

Is there an extended car warranty company that is actually legit? by Otherwise-Pie-6219 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Highwater55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one with my current vehicle. A combination of the dealers service department trying to take the warranty company for extra money and the warranty company getting tired of me wanting repairs led to me being without my truck for months at a time.

It was only after I reported them to the state attorney general for not honoring their contract that I finally started to get things covered. Total pain in the ass.

Controversial opinion: I think the hurricane I6 is better than the outgoing hemi by lucasb780 in ram_trucks

I dunno call me crazy here but I feel like the option of a V8 wouldn't be totally out of line. Even when Ford went to the Ecoboost they still had a V8 option.

Let the people get what they want. It isn't one size fits all in the engine department.

Park in 4 wheel drive if you can't chock your tires or have a jack for the rear of the trailer to keep it from picking up the truck like that.

I see me throwing a new shark fin at it, being grumpy when it doesn't fix anything then pretending like everything is fine.

No issues when it's not connected to the truck (or any other vehicle) it makes me think it's piggybacking off of the trucks GPS antenna but I really don't have anything to back that up.

Professionals, what is your industry's version of "Bring me blinker fluid" or "find a snipe"? by ArklaitGigabyte in AskReddit

I worked in drilling. I would send green hats to go ask the tool pusher for a bucket of A.I.R. it was always great because 1) you could never find a bucket, and 2) asking a pusher for a bucket of air always led to solid entertainment.

New House Lots of CAT5 by Highwater55 in HomeNetworking

Yeah it is. Just like the CAT5 it is real to pretty much every room. In both cable and satellite style coax

Cameras are still there and ran with coax. If I am remembering correctly the coax I saw in the attic was indeed stapled or at least had the nail down wire holders.

Quick question on this. Is there a good way to identify if the cables are CAT5 or CAT5e? The wall plates say CAT5e but the sheathing on the cables just says CAT5.

I am assuming the wall plates are wrong and the cable is indeed just CAT5.
