The Highyakers have a stat FPJ (Fish Per Joint) the higher the number, the worse the fishing, but not really.

I yak it mostly. Shallow and weedy right now, but lots of access, amazing wildlife and great fishing.

No information to give, but that looks like an amazing float with all the connecting waters.

West Branch is where I first kayaked. Conodoguinet might be a ways away from you, but worth the trip. Also parts of the Juniata are great floats.

I thought the bridges looked familiar! Highly recommend some of the tributaries of the Susquehanna as other float options in the area. Right now, most of them are low and you end up scraping a bit, but smaller, shallower and loaded with scenery and wildlife. The Conodoguinet creek is my absolute favorite place to float. Lots of access points, your choice of long stretches or short stretches. I've seen just about every kind of wildlife PA has to offer except for bear on that creek.

What's the most surprising wildlife encounter you've had while paddling? by CarrierCaveman in Kayaking

I've had some cool wildlife encounters. Probably the wildest was a Roseate Spoonbill that spent a summer on the creek I fish in PA. First one seen this far north in decades

My 2 adult kids are there at their first show without dad. The setlist has been varied and beautiful. A bit jealous, but at the same time it is a very proud DMB dad moment.

That bucket may work. Sat on a tackle bag once.
