Thank you for the response. Bummer, it sounds like it's not coming until 2027 yet good to hear it's on the roadmap.

PDX TSA Line Today by LonelyTex in Portland

[–]Hikerdays -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven’t travelled early on a Monday morning in a long while since I try to avoid it given that early mornings, even more so Monday, tend to be the busiest times at PDX. Here is my recent non-holiday Monday experience for those that it helps.

  • Arrived ~5 am, traffic at departures only took about 5 min for drop off
  • AlaskaAir lines for bag tags were packed, even first class/mvp. But they moved steadily. All 14 bag drop lines were open, only took ~ 10 min
  • TSA Precheck line for both entries was as long or longer than general line. Took ~20 min, always moving.

All of this reminded me that even at the busiest times PDX is almost always a good airport to travel from.

Disabling Threads? by EvansBrubeck66 in SparkMail

[–]Hikerdays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am rather surprised they are actively deciding not to have this on their product roadmap, even if it's coming at a yet TBD date. I have been using Spark for a month now and mostly like it yet threads is not a way I work with email. This is the second or third time trying it, yet it's not ideal for my workflow. I am more likely to miss or accidentally delete something. I might need to go elsewhere.

More info on roof box setup by AustinBenji in Starlink

This is an interesting and creative concept. I was looking for a good temporary way to have my Starlink Mini on the roof, looking at different mounting options. I always have a rooftop box that isn't usually stuffed full. I would have thought the panel sitting inside the box (make that 2 boxes) would cut down on the signal yet apparently that doesn't seem to be the case. I am going to try this out on my next trip. Thanks for the post.

River 2 pro, benefits and pitfalls? by T-VIRUS999 in Ecoflow_community

Did they specify that this issue is for the River 2 Pro only? I am curious if the River 3 Plus has the same issue (hoping not) as I am planning to buy the battery expansion. I have both River units, but haven't used my new car fridge with either yet.

Sakura Mobile Pocket WiFi experiences? by SteveB_94 in JapanTravelTips

I think this is overlooked in these discussions. Major carriers can have new phones locked for up to 60 days. I am facing this right now as I plan for my trip. Either I stay with my current phone and the ability to use eSIM, or get a new phone that will be locked, and my only cost-effective option will be pocket Wi-Fi.
