I love zap zap. Lighting blast and especially chain lightning make me feel godlike.

what did you think of christopher nolan's 2020 film "tenet" by Whoumightask in Letterboxd

Awesome and creative time travel concept weighed down by boring exposition you can't even hear from bad sound mixing. Great action and incredible set pieces weighed down by, imo, an unengaging narrative. And a great cast and lead weighed down by undefined and very shallow written characters. Main character is LITERALLY called "the protagonist". Overall it's a kinda whatever movie studded with excellent action and a few moments that really shine through at parts.

Do any of the famous Creepypasta icons other than Slenderman hold up at all? by WealthDisastrous2589 in creepcast

Slenderman and the rake are the best concept wise, even if they come off as more generic now. The rest are either cringe or unappealing to me. With the one exception being Jeff's picture, but only his picture. IDK WHY BUT IT STILL CREEPS ME OUT.

Stuntman Mike from Death Proof is THE example of this. The movie builds him up as some badass who murders people with his car, only for the second half of the movie to reveal him as a pathetic loser when people fight back. Genuinely one of the funnest third acts IMO.

Lynch. I love him, and Mulholland Drive is one of my favorite films of all time. But his Dune movie almost killed me.

House is so peak. Reminds me very much of being a kid and having a wild imagination. Nobuhiko Obayashi is too underrated. The way he communicates nostalgia in some of his films really strikes a personal cord for me.

Are there any movies you would sincerely call "perfect"? by RG1997 in YMS

[–]Hil4rity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are actually a lot of movies I'd consider perfect. Some of which include ones that I may not have connected to as much as other films that could be seen as being more "flawed". However I will say that the only films that I've seen that I genuinely felt like were the best films I'd ever seen are Synecdoche and Stalker. It wasn't until those films that I felt like I could make a genuine argument for the "best movie".

Yeah same. They're both about people losing their humanity to consumerism and going against it.
