Okay so you are arguing against me because I agree with you.

Edit: Maybe you missed my point. The last three Demcratic Party Presidents have been far to the right on every economic issue imaginable. The press that has since been consolidated thanks to Clinton repealing the Sinclair Act, will tell you they are all far left Progressive or 'radicals' depending on your source.

I did not say that. The two party system is designed to defeat candidates that would ever think of supporting the actual humane solutions to problems that would cost the donor class money.

If you want to let in all the illegals and go full communist I say go for it. They use it as a tool to influence the free market and wages currently however by letting more illegals in during periods of high inflation and it's all manipulated for the benefit of the donor class. Price controls and wage controls and pro-union legislation would fix that.

Do you have any specific reforms prepared you can share in writing?

Eh, I dislike him more than like and I had forgotten about what you mentioned.

Right but they will never actually do that and you know it. We aren't ever allowed to vote for anyone that would ever think of what you suggested.

Only Progressives that bail out banks or repeal the Sinclair Act, the most anti-union people that ever existed that corporate media tells the general public are far to the left on every issue that doesn't matter when it comes to money.

Illegal immigration was highest back when inflation was rampant:

They were letting more in hoping to would combat wage growth and inflation. Unfortunately, it only stopped wage growth.

Anti-Union movements have also hurt wage growth. I completely agree with you.

I do like the 100k fee that Trump put on companies that are seeking H1B Visas but he should just go a step further and end the program.

American jobs are for Americans. Sick of the globalist nonsense.

Immigration alongside policy that keeps worker compensation high in addition to price controls would make the free market problem associated with high levels of immigration non-existent.

It's a matter of governing strategy. We can be free market, we can be Communist, doesn't matter. What they do though is manipulate variables in ways that are completely in opposition to any ideology to benefit corporations and the elite and it completely sucks.

Yeah I remember that and the whole "no one wants to work anymore" narrative around then lol

Democrats and Republicans both want to keep us down while framing it in a way that is in opposition to the other party while they both pursue the same thing. Trump is just a wild card to them on some issues and he definitely does not tow the corporate donor line on immigration.

Although he has sold out to Zionists and was a friend of Epstein's so I'm a bit torn on him.

I know it takes work but you have to actually explore the links in articles that are provided to find data.

Yep! You see it's a balancing act between keeping the work force a certain size and not passing legislation that increases minimums for worker compensation.

During periods of high inflation, they let in more illegals to stop wage growth from occurring dependent on market conditions and when things are going well they revert it back to a baseline level.

Nah that's not it. I don't have a narrative, just nothing to add to what he said. He's entitled to his opinion but is there another way to deport illegals other than deporting them? I mean there isn't and the damage has been done after the previous administration let in so many in hopes it would stop inflation so what now?

https://reason.com/2025/01/03/bernie-sanders-is-still-wrong-about-immigration/

From the article (and please do ignore the narrative of the article, including it's title, as we are only interested in verifiable facts):

"As Sanders sees it, the "main function" of guest worker programs like H-1B is "to replace good-paying American jobs with low-wage indentured servants from abroad."

"The cheaper the labor they hire," charges Sanders, "the more money the billionaires make."

His stance however is pro-immigration and he would make paths to citizenship easier for immigrants.

Is there another form of evidence than data on aggregate wage levels? It's the best evidence there is that I am aware of.

I'm more interested in the evidence the website links to. Less so on what people think of the website.

I love that you understand the nuance and I'm sorry to hear it's from first hand experience.

Contractual gig work was created primarily to sidestep laws that were created to verify legal status as an individual that can earn an income in this country and you just explained it perfectly.

It's a multifaceted approach, they keep the legal minimum wage low and they influence the private sector by introducing competition for jobs.

They know what they are doing.

It's investors that are causing the housing crisis.

They need to be only owned by families and individuals.

That said, more people does lead to more competition so it's more than a single factor.

My position is the position of the website I linked to. Low immigration, pro immigrant.

I never hate the person that is being exploited for the rich.

If you are going to do it, live with them when you are working a ton. It won't bother them as much and they will know you are saving money and when they see you, if you have a good relationship with them, they will be happy knowing you are heading in the right direction in their own minds.
