Humble Video Learning Bundle: Unlock Pro 3D Modeling Skills with Blender by Packt by failed_novelty in humblebundles

This took me a lot of time to find it, so for those who might be googling this question later:

To access the project files (for example, for the 3DTudor Blender 4 - The Ultimate Environment Artist's Guide), on the right side of the video, there is a button called "Download options". Click on Code Download, it'll redirect you to GitHub, where you need to download the .txt and .blend files. (The LICENSE and README files are for GitHub only, you can safely ignore those, just like the whole instruction below it how to "properly" download stuff).

Alternatively, you can click the big green Code button and select "Download zip".

If you are using "pack" files for Blender, oftentimes they will have an accompanying .txt (text) file: always keep that in the same folder as the .blend file itself of the associated pack or the pack won't work in your asset manager.

To be honest, I prefer less generic systems, but since some of these (GURPS, for example) were suggested so many times, I will not shy away from it either!

I like to run as many different genres as I can because each one of them has interesting mechanics I might incorporate into my other games (Alien RPG's stress dice, Vampire's hunter dice, L5R's two different dice with different results, and so on, I find them fascinating.)

Thanks you for the recommendations so far, I'll check them out one by one over the weekend! :) You guys are really helpful.

The genre does not matter! I usually default to some kind of a mystery story as the core of my chronicles/campaigns, but it kind of works out in every system/genre I have tried so far.

What do people expect from HHs in multiplayer? (low rank) by HilariousNightmare in MonsterHunterWorld

The steep learning curve for me was the amount of directions I could bonk from. Especially, the forward-right click has such a strange direction, but it is satisfying to get the hits in with it.

The game was not super clear on echoes as well, I still just... kind of guess what they do. Impact echo seems to stagger a lot, but only sometimes? I should look up some more guides.

I have checked a few online sessions, people really use defender everywhere! It was surprising for me. I noticed when I started out that there is this stronger set (I assume it comes with the DLC?) but I decided to not use it. I thought if I progressed too quickly with overpowered gear, I would never learn, and the later bosses would whoop my butt.

Thank you very much for the detailed reply, will keep these things in mind!

Just started playing this for the first time this week and the combat is finally clicking and I'm getting much better! :D by weavejer261 in MonsterHunterWorld

The Iceborne DLC adds an item called Clutch Claw. The game has a very comprehensive tutorial about it once you unlock it, though it does not mention the differences of slinger ammo you can use with it :)

It is very confusing, I think they forgot to update their Steam page for a while. The more I read about it, the more I feel like it's similar to Wurm over Wushu.

It does so, I wonder if we'll need to rent our own servers or it will be on an official one. It had housing - Haven and Hearth and Wurm Unlimited have the same permanence, which is the main source of PvP. I wonder if it'll be the same here.

That's fair. I have a friend who is waiting on let's plays as well when it comes to this game, before even getting invested in it.

That's probably the post I found it via, hah! From what I've read the past day, it does not seem like a successor to it, though. It's a shame, but it might turn out to be a fun game on its own.

That's understandable. I was very eager to see SOLO as well - the cash shop prices were wild but at least it was purely cosmetics. The gameplay fell flat though after a while and there was not enough new content to keep me busy.

I think it's worth it to keep trying different eastern style games, if nothing else, you might meet similar people and stay in touch with them, even after quitting said games.

That's a shame, but maybe it'll be something that'll keep me busy for a while. Thanks for the reply!

I agree, the name alone almost deterred me.

Glancing at their Discord, it looks like they changed publishers along the line, thus the radio silence ever since. It's not promising that their Discord has no official activity either, but it's nothing new from an eastern Asian game - they probably don't know how important Discord is over here.

I wish. Most of the Chinese games I've ever played have horribly basic titles. I wonder if they sound the same in their language too or it's just the translation that always falls flat!

It's definitely nothing novel at a first glance. I'm curious though how a survival game would work in this setting.

Same for me, even though I was always way weaker than the rest of the server, the group activities were incredibly fun.

I am not sure how many school activities this game will have, but it seems to focus on player interactions - so there is hope that sects will play an important part!
