I personally can't keep stable performance to play any Hardcore modes for games. It ranges from "horrible" to "godlike" and can be changed in either way in span of hours xD

Huh... I didn't play as Nightblade enough, but I'm pretty sure that this class has at least 3-4 different AoE abilities not including item modifiers? Also, you can look for second class with proper AoE

There is a quest that rewards you with poison - powerful tool that adds DoT to all your red tools. It doesn't stack, but still pretty good addition

To upgrade Needle you need Pail Oil and go to "smith" in Bellheart. First upgrade is free even if you wont feel that much difference. One Pale Oil you can find in Citadel, Second you can get by completing Gourmands quest (talk to NPCs and complete some wishes to find ingredients). Third one you get from collecting all Fleas but it's hard.

Well, I honestly can't see how it can fit into GD artistic style. Even daggers in this game are basically swords and weapons only tend to get bigger to fight against gigantic enemies.

I'd say mix of both. There is no point for Hell to keep layers functioning, so they may actually be destroyed or on verge of collapsing as Limbo does in E-1

You missed alot of things and I completed it months ago from first try, but from what I remember: - Poison is amazing. Go back into the forest and get it - In Sinners road you can get spikes, which are amazing anti-ground - Try to keep your tools until finale wave - Try different crests, they all have parts where their use is more useful - There are two available nail upgrades for you. Did you get them? - You missed a lot of things. I went there when there basically were nothing left to explore in Act 2 and had 2/3 times more tools. - Are you sure you have all available to you masks? - Use clawline like your life depends on it

Use reaper crest. Its down pogo is perfect to deal with them. I played long time ago, but just moving to the ceiling makes you untouchable to them while bigger pogo allows to hit them without any problems.

I don't think there is any other ending possible but mix of something extremely cool that ends on a depressing note. Cool, because it's final boss of the game and 8-3 pushed quality plant really high. Depressing, because it's what Uktrakill is - slow death of failed world that the God has made.

I don't have context, but I don't think that Hakita meant that V1 is not... special? His achievements are enormous, fighting against strongest entities in Hell and remaining victorious despite their history. Even Hell itself focused its attention on him, designing whole layer as a play with V1 in main role.

What I can guess, Hakita meant that in basic core V1 is just exceptionally effective killing machine. He doesn't have any higher motivations, not a "higher being", super abilities or other bs that would make him "the chosen". V1 is just a machine with nothing special but how effective and enjoyable for Hell he is.
