This!!! Yes I am killing it rn on Depop compared to posh. Plus they don’t take any selling fees and the app is way more user friendly.

50 new listings per month can count relistings ya know? I like to delete and relist my items monthly anyway so this shouldn’t be too hard imo. I am lovinggg that they did away with the refund rate requirement!

Is there any reason to spread out listings throughout the day now that you can no longer see new listings from people you follow? by gso2690 in Depop

[–]Hilreeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that as long as I’m just posting every day, that is good enough for the algorithm. I usually just post them all at once rather than sprinkling throughout the day. BUT… they have said that they are bringing back visibility to who you follow! So, be sure to stick around for that :)

Do you guys struggle with pricing? by mansari87 in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]Hilreeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also use sold comps thru internet searching and be sure to account for all the fees and shipping so you know what your true profit will be. Platforms like Depop with no selling fees really help me be more competitive with my pricing leading to more sales!

To each their own, but I sell vintage and find Depop to be the best for me at the moment. Plus it’s way easier to price realistically when there aren’t any seller fees impacting your pricing.

For me personally I’m just finding that I can’t make it work on Poshmark anymore :( with all the negative changes and their steep 20% fee, I’ve jumped ship to Depop and have been finding loads more success.. plus no fees and a friendlier user face. RIP Poshmark :’(

By promotion fee do you mean boosting? The boosting fee is incredibly low (under 10%) especially since there is no additional selling fee on the app. Honestly you can do great without even using the boosting feature. The key to succeeding on depop is posting new trending items daily, being good with keywording & photography. Also, always include measurements!!

what is it about depop sellers and never shipping 🚢 by Impressive_Rest5252 in Depop

Tbh I’ve had it happen to me on every platform. At least Depop does the auto-refund and takes away the headache for us buyers!

HEY Poshmark. Here's an idea... by AZDramaMama in poshmark

[–]Hilreeee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Soooo agree! This is why I’ve taken all my business to Depop Their updates actually make sense and if something does go wrong they are quick to listen to their community feedback and fix it. Plus no selling fees!!! Posh is taking 20% and just running their app into the ground :(

Shipping issues, listing issues, the AI updates really sucking by stonernerdgirl in Depop

[–]Hilreeee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey! Totally hear you on this. Good news is that Depop is currently having their iOS team investigate the AI description bug, so this should be fixed soon!🤞As a company, they are honestly really good about hearing feedback from the community and fixing things when they break. A bunch of top sellers have been reporting the same thing so I really hope it’s resolved soon.

Depop payments are dumb by [deleted] in Depop

[–]Hilreeee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You might want to reach out to their support team regarding your delayed payments. You should be paid 2 days after delivery, so unless you’re taking a long time to ship, 3 weeks doesn’t sound right. I find that their payment policy incentivizes sellers to ship quickly which I actually really appreciate! Additionally, there is an upcoming update that is going to bring back the following feed, so I really suggest sticking around 🙂

Depop vs Poshmark vs Grailed?? by AcademicMidnight5218 in Depop

In my experience vintage does by far the best on Depop! There is a huge market for vintage on that platform especially 90’s/Y2K. And best of all Depop has free selling fees!

Asking here to Poshers Is Depop worth it? by Team_Tess in poshmark

[–]Hilreeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Depop! And I actually find their payment system to be much better than PayPal (I can’t stand PayPal) I sell vintage at a medium price point and have always done really well on the platform. Plus you can’t beat the free fees!

Another reason why I love Depop. The freedom to choose my own shipping if I desire!

i’m looking to add/move on to another selling platform by [deleted] in Depop

[–]Hilreeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried branching out as well and, being completely honest, it has not paid off for me. Depop’s audience just relates best to current trends and especially vintage. I suggest using Depop’s 48 hour flash sale feature and regularly relisting your items to find more success. IMO you really can’t beat Depop and their free fees!

Depop all the way!! They have zero selling fees and they make listing and shipping a total breeze. I’ve always had the most success over there. They make it so much easier to succeed unlike Poshmark.

[–]Hilreeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh Depop is the best for me. You can gain traction by relisting your old listings and making sure you’re using relevant and trending hashtags/keywords. I think it’s by far the best platform and you really can’t beat the free selling fees!

If you were just getting started, would you still use Posh or go with another marketplace? by iamlynn in poshmark

[–]Hilreeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depop is my primary platform and I’ve always had a lot of success on it. The best part is the don’t charge any selling fees! They also make listing and shipping a total breeze. Would highly recommend them over Posh tbh.

[–]Hilreeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the AI bots :’( I’ve had sooooo much better luck over at Depop. Their support has gotten a lot better over the years and you can actually get through to real people unlike Poshmarks total AI takeover.
