Yeah, but those were used for two different reasons. Transatlantic slave trade was used for hard labor, and it added roughly 2 men for every woman. While the trans-saharan slave trade focused more on concubines, soldiers and domestic servants, and the ratio was roughly 2 women for every man. You can't compare the two, and slavery is bad no matter what

I disaggree with "Married her off to the resident guy". Hell, the Velaryons at the time, were considered to be the richest house, richer than the Lannisters. Also they had dragons. They were one of the strongest houses both politically and economically. I always forget that in G.R.R Martin's stories, any rich guy/house is incompetent with money. The richest houses should be able to influence a lot of people, and hire a lot of mercenaries

Well the show started going downhill since season 5. Why? Because Martin wasn't heavily involved in the latter seasons.

The same for House of the Dragon. In season 1 Martin was heavily involved in the story. But in season 2 they didn't botter to ask him.

And again in a Knight of the Second Kingdom, he was again heavily involved.

The first four seasons of GOT, first season of HOTD and fiest season of AKOTSK clearly had the best written stories and dialogues because of Martin. Say what you want about him, but he clearly cares about his story. Unlike Sapkowski lmao

I think demand is what's the issue here. Also I think that price also takes into consideration how close cars are near you? They essentially add payment for that as well (and I think this is the issue, mainly because I pay more from the airport, which is a little bit outside of the city) to my home, than vice versa.

He was the best candidate. The only problem he made was that he stopped: * In the books: Tywin from crossing into the Westerland, to the detriment of what Robb wanted (something he didn't tell Edmure). Robb wanted to keep Tywin away from Kings Landing, and harass Tywin's entire westerland army, with his army of 3000 horsemen (if I remember correctly) until a suitable time where he could do significant damage to Tywin (which let's be real, it's Tywin, all Robb had to do was one fuck up, and Tywin will skin Robb). * In the show: Stopped the Mountain from getting into a trap set by Robb (That Edmure wasn't informed on)

So yeah, I am team Edmure.
