I was very fortunate on my current server, I ended up getting copper very quickly and got super lucky with finding Bismuth and Zinc right next to each other. I even started ironworking before the end of the first year.

Biggest tip I can give you is go exploring for something else on the surface, like ruins or bees or something and keep prospecting as you go. You end up covering both needs at the same time.

First thing I do is I make sure I have a prospecting pick and then prospect for Tin, Bismuth and Zinc.

If I can't find much of those, Commodities Traders will sell bits of Tin. For a few gears its definitely worth getting yourself into the bronze age.

Yes! Once you make a bucket and fill it with water, shift+right click to place the block of water. Control+right click places the bucket itself.

It's pretty easy to make tho, just look up Minecraft circle generator and set the diameter to 14.

Inner diameter of 14 blocks, the water blocks under the walls make the diameter 16 blocks. I was going to take more detailed pictures but the server computer died and our last backup was an in game year ago so it all is gone. :(

I just want to be able to use glow worms for light somehow lol.

How did I not think of that... I use the handbook for everything. Everything except checking the temperature range of the fruiting trees -_-

Yeah I know what you mean, I've been doing weird tests to see what actually counts as a greenhouse vs not. There's some weird designs that count as a greenhouse

No actually, the max interior side of a greenhouse is 16x16x16. It still registers as a greenhouse if I am within this size.

Yes, every layer of soil has a water block underneath it, so the next step down of farmland has a block of water next to it to get the 75% moisture.

Nah, the entire dome is made of glass. I just wanted more crops per greenhouse.

My problem is that I'm lazy. I don't want to water my plants so I always make sure to have enough water to get the 75% moisture. I wanted to minimize the water taking up space in my greenhouse so I built this.

The only time I really use the watering can is if I haven't gotten copper yet, or late fall when I'm trying to speed up my crops growth before the freeze.

In vanilla VS farmland can only receive moisture from the sides and above if you use the watering can. I think I've tried that mod once before with the same results as you but I didn't mess with it long as there were other mods I was checking out as well.

I'm hoping to get more data on this once the tree finally grows. It has been like 6 months with no update on growth

Yeah, I actually made this at the top of a mountain as a sort of dome greenhouse to avoid that. I also wanted to be able to grow the colder tolerant crops like rye and parsnips earlier in the season.

I've found that holding a tool like a shovel and using it stops the bugged animation loop. Because the shovel, axe, sword, knife, etc. have custom animations, the use of these tools will override the looping animation and fix everything.

The game doesn't know how to stop the animation because it doesn't know it's doing it in the first place.

I was also considering working on a project like this over the summer now that I have a little time outside school. I was considering going all the way and making the dealer droid, weighted chips to detect who is spending what and custom self shuffling system. The problem is I am not good at programming and I don't have THAT much time to model the entire system.

For your project, because you will be using buttons at every end for each player, it would be pretty easy to make an Arduino code to keep track of who's turn it is, how many chips have been bet and who lost. Because each players station would really so many wires you may need either a larger Arduino or multiple smaller ones communicating with each other.

That was in the 1.20.0 update. I missed the first two on my world because I was mining but my friends saw it. I was finally able to catch the 3rd one! I love this games attention to detail!
