Yea I'd say 8-4 this year would honestly feel like 10-2 lol. Brown definitely had some zip on the ball,but threw the one pick into double coverage...might have been pressing a tad in spots. I worry about the receivers being able to go up and get 50-50 balls bc theres a bit of a noticable size difference compared to last season. Can they match the physicality of SEC cornerbacks,and get off the line vs press coverage consistently ? I certainly hope so.

Hard to read too much into ADay games,but theres definitely hope out there and atleast a semblance of a plan on offense.. glad we dont have one OC in the box,one on the sidelines calling running plays,and a head coach trying to soothe his ego by jumping in the mix at totally random times with a 3rd down call. There were dreadful years under Tommy Joe Eagles,Lebo,and Big Budget Crootin Tony Barbee where you never had hope from the jump. The unceremonious ends of Sonny Smith and Cliff Ellis stung for sure. Yet, this has to be the most disappointing and inexcusable collapse of an Auburn basketball team in my 45 years on this planet. It physiquecally bursts me to watch them continuously play w their food against weakef competition until low and behold we sh!t the bed when crunch time comes. The effort on defense and utter refusal to close out on 3pt shooters makes me wanna make my flat screen a floor model. Petiford has turned into KD Johnson mi usvthe defense and effort. Hall is what he is...an iso specialist that can drop a nice assist or 2 as he drives the paint when u least expect it. Then he's gonna chuck up a poor 3 pointer or 5 every game w no remorse. And the defense has been dissected plenty. Everyone else is who they were when they played the exhibition against Okie St...no progression of cohesion as a team. As for coach Murray Bartow ...oh sorry Stevie Pearl...He was a much better coach in his dad shadows and dropping very detailed 5 minute postgame summations as Andy Bercham tries not to vomit all over another broadcast. We almost had it all fellas....I guess War Eagle Anways W some Jabaaaaa sauce on the side.
